I was in the hospital for a whole week. I didn't talk at all. I couldn't. Everyone knew something bad happened. The police tried to get me to talk, boy they really tried. I refused to say a word. Mom thought it was better if I stayed at Uncle Cory and Aunt Topangas house. They would be able to take care of me till I healed. As we got into the apartment. Maya, Riley, Lucas, and Farkle pointed to the direction of Riley's room. I had a chest brace and a cast on my left leg and right arm.
"Bay window! Bay window right now!" Riley exclaimed. I looked at Uncle Cory and his friend Shawn for help. "We can't help this time Lena" Uncle Cory said. I was brought to the bay window in Riley's room. "Why wouldn't you talk to us about this Elena? This is important. Someone hurt you. We need to know who" Maya begged.
I bit my lip holding back tears. "I'm humiliated Maya" I whispered. Maya's face showed she was upset and angry. She connected the dots. "I'm gonna find him! I'm gonna kill him!" She yelled and got up before she could run out, Lucas picked her up. "Am I there yet?" she asked as she tried running in air. He set her down. "Lucas take Farkle for a walk" Riley ordered. Lucas was hesitant, but took Farkle out.
"Spill" Riley ordered. "He hates me. He thinks I'm a burden, I'm a mistake. He beats me up. I usually act like it doesn't hurt so I'm not giving him the satisfaction. It hurts" I cried. "How long has this been going on Elena?" Riley asked. "Since I was 7" I whispered. "Elena has, he done anything else to you?" Maya whispered. I cried harder, and nodded.
They hugged me. The door opened. "Hey what's going on? I heard crying" The familiar voice of Aunt Topanga said. She noticed it was me crying. "Mom, it happened right under our noses. We didn't even notice" Riley said. "Oh god" Aunt Topanga mumbled and joined us in our group hug. I ended up falling asleep.
3rd Person Pov:
The girls went out to the living room, letting Elena get her beauty rest. "I'm guessing by the looks on her face, she talked?" Shawn inferred. Riley and Maya hugged Cory. "It was her step dad" Riley cried. Farkle, Cory, Shawn, and Lucas's eyes widened. "Is someone gonna call Aunt Rachel?" Riley asked. Shawn nodded and stepped out of the room. The kids sat on the couch, looking devastated.
"How did we not see this?" Lucas wondered out loud. "I don't really know. He always seemed weird" Maya admitted. "Well now we know he beats kids" Farkle mumbled. Riley and Maya looked at each other, knowing fully well that it was much more than that. Shawn came back. "Rachel's on her way, I didn't tell her what happened yet" Shawn explained.
As they waited for Rachel(Auggie is at his grandparents), you could hear small footsteps slowly coming into the living room. Out popped Elena's head. "Why is there a cast on my foot and arm?" She asked confused. "She doesn't remember" Maya whispered confused. Then Elena's face changed to scared, meaning she remembered.
"Your moms on the way" Shawn mumbled. Elena's face calmed a bit down. Elena sat with the kids on the couch. She rested her head on Lucas's shoulder. He put his arm around her. They were everyone's favorite ship. #lucena
