My whole life is a routine. Walking on the same road, stuck in the same place, breathing the same air, since I got my brain enlightened with the wonders of the universe, if ever there is.

I am dead plain. My aura is screaming Im no special. I only got my mom, sharing least knowledge about the things I think I need to know. Dad.
But I just let things be like that. Unsaid. Unknown. Sparing myself from the truth that will just worsen this blunts-que life. I could swallow it. Life has taught me to take in what life brings you. No point of going against. No point of taking risk.

~~~
School was fine. I got no squad nor real friends. I talk to few people at school, yeah. I actually talked to my teacher earlier. She just gave me an assignment and that's it. I am used with the thought that people around me dont really bother, to notice my presence that much. I am nobody.
Well, I am typical kind of girl you'll see across the long empty pave of our community. Just a tshirt on, pair of jeans and a pair of sneakers. This already made me atleast look human.
I hate my long black hair they're the messiest so I just put them together with a rubber band and make it into ponytail. My hunch shoulders are carrying the seemingly heavy Jansport backpack I got, a year ago. Im certain Im the only girl who cant define the word "fashion".
Walking this long windy road, a piece of stone used to accompany me with my journey home. I prefer walking than riding on a public vehicle. My legs atleast are used to it. So as my whole being.
Its colder than usual, maybe because it is already on the last quarter of the year. I cant see any person roaming around the village, it's only after lunch? Having their siesta I guess.
By this time, I can notice the place I use to live in for 17 years now. In this village, there this one place I use to spend my time when I want to vent all the feelings I have in my heart, just along the way before our block.That place used to be a playground, but only its remnants, like the two swings are standing still. No one goes there now, except me.
"Excuse me, miss?" a voice of an old woman from behind.
I turned to her,
"uhm yes maam?!"
"I always notice you sitting from that old swing, you seem to be the only one liking that place. By the way, Im the owner of the house there." she turned to the old but neat house next block of the playground.
I did'nt realize that somehow someone had notice me going there gradually. So I smile at her,
"It's comforting maam. Nice to meet you."
"Oh, you can call me Mrs. Libby, nice to meet you pretty young lady."
I want to giggle with the thought but I suppressed it and give her a sincere smile. I continued walking after that dilemma of staying for the meantime to the old playground or going home.
I am about to step in our frontyard when the sight of a truck parked in the front, got me bewildered. Huge boxes were scattered just near the truck. It seems that there is a new family that'll occupy the old house just frontal. Its been a year since that house was unsold, finally that lonely place will be called 'home' again.
After a few seconds of glance, trying to fathom whats ahead, I heard a heavy footstep from the house that made me ran towards our door.
"Leonor?! What happened?"
My mom asked me worrily as she noticed me entered the door, breathing heavily.
"Nothing mom," I answered "Im going upstair." and bring myself to my haven--My room.
I got asleep. As I turned to my clock, it says its already 5 in the afternoon. Mom knocked and enter my room,
"Atleast change your clothes Leonor." Looking at me that haven't change my clothes.
Mom is like that, plain words but authoritative. She's the only one taking care of me while my father is away for work, as she say he is, which I didnt bother to ask what kind of work.. Because mom is obviously hesitant talking about the topic.
I nod as an affirmation. At home, my mom and I are like that. We dont often talk, like really exchange words.. But our eyes, touches and even our hearts could somehow communicate to each other.
I get up, pulled my comfortable saggy shirt and pyjamas on and headed downstairs as mom asked me to do so. Dinner's not yet ready. So I just waited for mom at the sofa and grabbed the book beside me. My teacher's assigned work to me.
"How's school?" Mom asked walking downstair without looking at me.
"Fine mom," I smiled warmly to express my sincerity. Still not looking at me.
"Usual day."
"Good, uhm Sweet?" mom called me with some of her sweet endearments only she say when she's to ask something on her favor.
"Hmm?"
"We have a new neighbor, the father I guess, of the family, came here while youre asleep. They're inviting us for dinner? Do you want to go?," I looked up at her with perplexity.
"If so, change your clothes, atleast descent please."
I dont know, but there is a sudden wave of refusal in my mind, but the warm commanding words of my mother echoing in my ears, so I said the word that made me want to pull it back right after spilling it out from my mouth.
"Sure."
