Everything was white. Devoid of the likes of colour, shade and life. It was all just... white.

And amidst that void of utter nothingness though, stood...

Me.

"Who are you?"

I almost jumped to the sound of that voice. Strangely, I didn't. I turned back, my gaze only meeting that of a stranger figure's own. This figure, opposite to me, was heavily clad in a bright white and blue armour. Though, it was mostly covered by an ugly, brown, rag-like cape. His - at least, I think it was a 'he' - face hidden by his helmet. I couldn't see anything through the 'T' shaped opening in his helmet, but I could definitely see his eyes.

His eyes were like stars. Eight pointed stars.

"I'm-"

He raised his hand. He was suddenly now affront of me, his hand over my mouth. I could feel the chill of his gauntlet seeping into my skin, sending me shivers down my spine.

He then slowly took a step back, producing a beautifully decorated book from his cape.

"Take this."

He held out the book.

I frowned. I knew better then to take things from strangers, but for some odd reason, I felt as if I was... connected, to this book somehow. As if... I knew that the book belonged to me. I took the book in my hand, and I think the figure smiled.

I think.

"What's this for..?" I asked, inspecting the book further. The book was embedded with gems and decorated very intricately. The most noticeable thing about the book was the emblem of a wolf on the front of it. The emblem was a neon green colour, which made it stood out most against the brown, leather covers of the book.

"It's your Story, Venn."

I froze. 'Venn'... it's so... strange to be called by that name.

"First of all, my name's not Venn. And what do you mean that this is 'my' Story..?"

I heard the figure chuckle, which sent another chill down my spine.

"It's your Story. Your life. Your destiny. That book is you. Everyone has a Story, everyone's Story is always still being written. Including yours."

I was confused. I opened the book, flipping through the many pages it had, only to find that they were all... blank...

"There's nothing..."

Again, the figure chuckled.

"Because yours is only just beginning."

"Why are you giving me this then..? Isn't this... important..?"

"Yes. I want you to write your own Story. A story that is unique to you and only you. I've made my edits of your previous Story. I know you didn't like it."

There, curiosity struck. How much did the guy know about my previous 'Story'. He can't possibly know everything about me. It's just not possible.

At least, I thought so.

"My previous Story?" I repeated.

"Your life as 'the dumb, Asian kid gamer'."

I flinched. I didn't like hearing the sound of that title. Though, I was really more creeped out by how the guy knew that... and also what he was offering.

"Just... who are you..? And, where am I..?"

"Just a mere mortal who wishes to see change in reality. I exist to edit and to continue writing what Story each and every person has ahead of them. I am the Writer of Reality. You, Venn, are standing in Naught, my writing chambers."

He swept his arms. Suddenly, shelves began rising from the ground, each one stacked with books. Wherever I looked, there were more bookshelves. They just never seemed to end...

"You're... god..?"

"No. Like I said, I am but a mere mortal. I don't have the power to alter one's fate, everyone's always writing their own story themself. My purpose of existence is to make the edits and fixes people dearly need."

"Then..." I look to my book, then back up at him. I never really realized how tall he was...

"What about my book..? Why are you giving me my book?"

"Yours. I want you to write it."

"Why..?"

"You don't seem happy with your previous Story. I offered books to their respective owners before, so they can write their own Story on how they see fit. I know who I can trust and who I can't."

"But I-"

He raised his hand again.

"Now. Who are you?"

The gears in my head began winding again. It was automatic. One look at my book, and when I turned back towards the Writer. I instantly knew my answer. I stood straight and solemnly, looking straight at the other figure with newfound confidence, and then...

I spoke.

"I am Venn Wolfblade."
