0.1.Learning How To Not Be A bitch

It was a quiet day. Too quiet for where the diner was situated. I pick at the skin around my nails, I always remember my sister Paulina telling me off and to not pick at my nails, Paulina is three and way to smart for her age, she doesn't really like being called Paulina and prefers Poppy or Pops instead. "Oi Clarity table 5 wants to order" Peta says snapping me out of my thoughts "oh sorry"I say and she smiles softly as I walk off towards table 5.
The smell emitting from the two guys makes me want to gag as I plaster on a fake smile "what can I get you?"I ask softly taking out the notebook and pen
"Coffee, black no sugar" one says without looking at me "anything else" I ask "no"the other guy replies I scoff and walk off towards the counter "They were so rude"I huff pouring the coffee into the mug and taking it back to the table "is there anything else?"I ask once more "actually yeah, for you to stop asking that" the guy who had his head reding on the table snaps "we'll excuse me for being hospitable towards customers" I sneer "hospitable? Please you're just nagging I said no once and I don't need anything after the second time"he sneers back "you know what....I think you should leave" I yell pointing toward the door "gladly"he says standing up "asshole" "uptight bitch"are a few of the things muttered as he leaves his friend remains chuckling "I'm sorry about my friend, he's a bit moody with the added effects of alcohol"he says "what's up his ass though?"I ask "his parents are fighting and it's threatening his lacrosse career" his friend says "again I'm really sorry-"
"Clarity" I say
"Clarity" he finishes with a grin
"And you are?"I ask "Parker and the guy that stormed out was Riley" he chuckles I grin "well I'm sure we'll be seeing you soon" Parker says before leaving his money and walking off.It was already really late by the time I had done stock check, cleaned the tables and burnt my finger on one I the ovens with a cloth band-aid wrapped around my two fingers as I shake it violently as a seething pain shoots through my finger, a few mumbles curse words later as I pull on my coat and head towards the buss stop, I as a car and I could drive I just like catching the buss after work because I'm drowsy by the time the buss stops at the stop near my house.

My mother sits in the couch with a blanket wrapped securely around her with Poppy who is happily playing with our dog Prada. "Poppy"I laugh as she stands up an walks towards me
"Clartee"she giggles as I throw her up and catch her "miss chu"she says hugging me "missed you too" I laugh and hug her back I glance at the clock on the wall read 8:30 "alright Pops it's time for bed"I say and she whines slightly before moving off towards her bedroom "did you brush your teeth?" I ask as I help her pull the nightie over her head "yep" she says smiling and showing her teeth "good girl, go give mummy a kid and cuddle an I'll read you a story"I say and she nods scurrying off toward the lounge room the back again, "can you read me Cinderella"she asks as she climbs into the bed snuggled up wit her stuffed animals I nod and take the book out off her shelf and begin to read, I get halfway through the story before Poppy is fast asleep snoring softly as she hugs her Hippo stuffed bear. I grin kiss her forehead, turn on her night light and leave. My mother seems to be in the kitchen as I hear the microwave beep and the smell of buttery popcorn fills my nose and make me drool slightly I grin to myself as mum walks out and I follow her to the lounge room and I cuddle up to her as we watch some sappy chick flick before I finally encourage myself to get some sleep, it was Monday tomorrow and I had to drop Poppy off at the daycare before school then leave school quickly before my shift at the diner starts.
