Chapter One

Imagine! Me, a "muggleborn" accepted to Hogwarts!! It all started on one very peculiar day in the middle of summer break, the year I turned 11.... I received a letter sent by an owl, with an unfamiliar seal on the front. Inside the envelope there were two pieces of parchment. The first piece parchment had said: 

HOGWARTS SCHOOL  

of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore  

(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock,  

Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Ms. Granger,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.  

Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

The second piece parchment had a list of books including: 

HOGWARTS SCHOOL  

of WHICHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

UNIFORM  

First-year students will require:  

1.Three sets of plain work robes (black)  

2.One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear  

3.One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)  

4.One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)  

Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)  

1 set glass or crystal phials  

1 telescope  

1 set brass scales

Students may also bring and owl OR a cat OR a toad.

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS

A week from that day on my life changed a week later I left to Diagon Alley to get my books, parchment, ink, quills, a wand, robes, and other necessary things for Hogwarts. I read every one of my books within one day.  

Two days later my parents left me at platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross Station. And my adventure began.....
