What I Wish to Be

Sinking into my mossy Earth,
with the wind rustling my hair.
Parting with the day of my birth,
for this life I have no care.

I glance around with green envy eyes,
that camouflage with what I wish to see.
This living cage that I despise,
contrasts the life of a tree.

The evil greed, the destructive hate,
is nothing to what I wish to be.
A tree gives and never takes,
a worthy truth I wish to deem.

And in the awakening of the Sun,
with the light kissing my cheek.
I transform away from my other demon,
for it's the strength of a tree I seek.

And as my roots stretch to the earths core,
my branches entangle with another.
Entranced by the beauty and nothing more,
My Earth, the Nature, My Mother.
