Gramma and I were walking to the park. I had done really good in school and she was so happy she promised I could play at the park intel I was too tired to play any more!
One the way I had a longing for a mint. The cool green ones with white stripes. I knew gramma had some since she always kept some in her purse."Hey gramma, can I have a mint?"Her sweet gramma eyes looked softly at me as she smiled a clam smile and bent down to my level.
'I know that look.'
That look is the oh so sweet...No.I prepared for rejection.
"Ok."she said
My eyes and I were shocked. I probably looked funny since she giggled at my face. Or my reaction. Well ether way I got my mint.
We continued on our journey to the
Park as I sucked on my mint. Then I started to water bend in my mouth. Yes,I am an avatar fan and I'm proud of it.
Into the left cheek, into the right,to the front-
"Huff!"
My grandma stopped walking and looked at me,shook her head and continued on with her walk.
I sighed in relief. 'Great poller caps that was close! I should be more quiet. If gramma found out she'd never give me another mint ever agin. I'll water bend one more time after that I'll stop.'
I confirmed this to my self and once again water bended starting where I left off. Forward and ba-
"AK!"
The mint got stuck in my throat.I held on to it in attempt to sooth the pain Gramma jumped when I let out that sound. She came up to me and put her hands on my shoulders. She had a worried look on her face.
"What's wrong dear? Are you alright?!"
" I..I-it hur..It h-hurts!"
Each time I said a word I felt the mint scratch my throat. So I pointed to my throat instead. She understood what happened and she started looking around. Intell her head stopped and she smiled.
I looked over in the direction she was facing. There was a shop. A tea shop, called bubble tea. The letters came in a pattern of colors. And they were pastel! The pattern went purple, yellow, and pink. The doors had a small open sine that sparkled pink. There were two windows with a wooden frame and I could see pastel yellow curtains hanging from them.
Over all it looked welcoming. Wile I was taking in the view I hadn't noticed we had already gotten to the front of the store.
Then we entered.
It was homey. I didn't want to go the park any more I want to stay here. Sit in the window and watch people go on with their lives.I waned to tell gramma how I felt but a painful scratch in place of voice. She looked worried. And made me sit down by the window wile she went a got us tea. I starred out the window and slowly watched people go by and a car or two.
Snapping me out of my daze, I heard a clanking noise in front of me. I looked down and saw a cute tea cup with a pink and brown liquid inside of it.
'Is that tea? No way! I... I don't think I want to drink that.'
I looked up to grammma and she was already drinking her tea. Then she without putting down her drink glared at me and I tried the tea.
It was the best ever. After I finished the tea my throat it felt so much better! I smiled at my gramma and she looked relived.
It wasn't long intel I couldn't go with my gramma agin but I always back to that shop in her memory and one day realized.
Tea saved my life.
