"At the most basic level, color is light and the burning sensation from my prismic eyes, can see past what it allows me to see"

                     ~Leah

After constant calls from his mother , he was forced to come home. Leah was picked up by her mother long time ago. Her short black hair standing up on her perfectly symmetrical face.

Every time she caught him staring at her, she would make a face. That was angry,  it cute. Too cute to be angry, but still got to the point. The cheeks kinda fucked it up, but still it was cute.

She was cute, hell in the 5 hours they knew each other, he knew she was cute. It was one of those things you just knew. Even when she looks like she hates existence. But in a cute adorable cynical kind of way.

It drove him crazy, how every aspect of her he thought about. Through family dinner and even kept him up at night. She was imprinted through his mind.

Sadly to say, even though he had a girlfriend laid right beside him. A person who always liked him, he was thinking of someone who was seemingly disgusted by every thing he did.

"What you thinking about, J"

The bright eyed girl twirled the ends of his hair with her freshly manicured nails. Her foot rubbing up against his thigh as they laid on the plush black comforter with purple star wars pillow sprawled randomly throughout.

" Something that happened at the Laboratory"

"You wanna talk about it"

And boy did he. Just to talk about her beautiful face and plump lips, the brown of her skin, ams that sneaky little gap that made it's way in the back of his mind.

She was becoming like carbon to him, existing everywhere in him.

"Nah, nothing special"

"Oh, okay"

The two went back to laying there. While light rap flowed throughout the room. Jackson bobbing his head and humming the flow with the rapper.

Mel, right beside him, humming along too. It wasn't long before they broke out into a quick dance. Jackson rapping the part, and Mel singing  with her eyes shut.

They jumped on the bed, with no care. Enjoying the movement that the music made them. It was filled with truth and fun.

Jackson knew why Mel was his girlfriend they understood each other, even though they barely seen each other, they knew each other.

He knew her and she knew him, it was a perfect balance of space but want and need. And being fulfilled with the time they have together.

But deep in Jackson's mind, he knew Leah was going to fuck the dynamic up between them and he wasnt prepared for what was to come.
