Background
When Hajime's mother died, she was just a little girl. Haruhi comforted her when she was sad. As she grew up she took over her mother's action and cooked for her and her dad, she also did the chores around the house. Her father works two jobs so he's always tired when he's at home. Hajime also has a job she works at a cafe. She only works on the weekends or when she's needed.

So far from all of this she attends Ouran and meets a person who makes her happy.

And if you're wondering why she has her hair short as a guy, well it's because she decided to cut it. Her long hair disturbed her.
