Well, that was weird. I was staring at the spot the girl had disappeared. The leaves rustle slightly, and Bill was staring at us with a wired look on his face. "So, uh, what now?" I looked over at Dipper for help but he was looking at Bill. "Well, we could try to reverse the effects of the water, whatever substance it is, and return to normal lives." Dipper gave a quizzical look at Bill and asked "Aren't you supposed to know everything?" Bill cheeks flushed and his eye turned black. "Dipper I think you made him mad." Back off. "Well, the best I have is go upstream." We all jumped at the sound of a girls voice. The girl from before stepped out of the bushes "Sorry I ran off earlier. I just had to take a moment. What effects are we talking about?" I prepared to show the girl, but Dipper put a hand on my shoulder. I did it anyways. She gasped, Dipper face palmed, and Bill went pale. Stars flooded into the girls eyes "I'm not the only one!!" Dipper looked up. "What?" "A few years ago I fell into a pool of water and I... uh... i" She cut herself off before she could finish her sentence.  To large leathery bat-like wings unfolded from her back.
Eliza pov
Well, I had to show them now, I mean, once you tell someone something like you have to show them. A collection of gasps sounded around me. "I know, it's weird, and scary." Bill looked at me "So you haven't gotten rid of it?" "What? No, I wanted these. The rest was not fun." Silence. The only sound was the water slowly gurgling past. "The rest? Will it happen to us?" The boy in the dream was wide eyed and panicky. "Probably. But you are mermaids, not vampires." The girl let out a giggle. "I forgot to ask, what were your names? I know his." I pointed at Bill. "But what about yours." They say quiet for a minute. "Dipper and Mabel."

I know not a good cliff hanger but think about it from Eliza's point of view. 🙃 never mind, cheap tension. I suck at writing. Half of you aren't even reading any more. Whatever
