Prologue

Ava's pov/

It's my first day of school today, I'm standing next to both my parents waiting for the first bell to ring.

I decide to look around the yard to see all the kids that I'll be spending time with throughout my schooling, as I look around I see many boys and girls but one boys catches my eye. A boy with short blonde hair, piercing blue eyes and the whitest smile I've ever seen, and then I knew I wanted to be best friends with him.

couple of days later-
I'm playing with the blocks nicely by myself having no care for what's going on around me but I notice somebody that sat beside me, I look up to notice the boy I was looking at a few days ago.

"Can I play?" asked the boy, I want to know who he is so I decide to let him play, "of course you can" I respond.

after a couple of minutes of building a tower the boys says "my name is Jake, Jake Cove", finally I know his names, "my names is Ava Bright" I respond with a toothy smile planted on my face, "I like your name! it's very pretty" replys Jake whilst blushing. "thankyou" I reply blushing.

after another couple of minutes I start to get bored of playing with the blocks so I get up from the floor and walk away until I hear a voice that makes me turn around, "Hey Ava! maybe we could be best friends? you know the best friends from movies and books? I want you to be my best friend!", I'm surprised and happy that he choose me! "of course" I respond, "best friends forever?" jakes replies, "promise?" I ask, "promise!"
