Neoma's eyes opened and she stared up at the ceiling with a frown
"Another nightmare?" Hansel asked snuggling into her side, she nodded an wiped away the fresh tears
"But this time, I actually felt the pain" She whispered back, he looked at her straight into her eyes and saw sadness glazing over them
"Come here baby" He whispered pulling her close to him. They needed a break from the Witch Hunting so they decided to sleep at an Inn for a couple of Nights
"Why does he want revenge?" She asked quietly, he sighed and stroked her hair in a soothing way
"I don't know hun, I don't know. Maybe he's under a spell" She pulled back to look at him
"No, he's stronger than that Hansel. Much stronger" She said, he hugged her tighter and started to imagine if it was Gretel instead of Callum making him wince.
"Why is he even alive?" She seemed to hiss at herself, she saw his throat get slit she saw him be beat she saw the life from his eyes go
"It might not even be him" Hansel whispered back
"Makes no fucking sense, does it?" She asked him, he sighed deeply and kissed her forehead
"Go to sleep, I'm here and your safe ok" She nodded and relaxed into his arms again.
Morning
**********
Hansel woke up before her and smiled, her mouth was open slightly open, her hair spread across the pillow and her nose twitched now and then. He kissed her once on the forehead then again on the lips, he sat up and yawned quietly stumbling over towards the door.
"Hey" Gretel whispered when he got into the kitchen, he nodded his head at her with a small grin
"Did she have another nightmare again?" She asked
"Yeah, she seems to be feeling everything this time though" He sighed rubbing his face in frustration
"Great, just what we need" Gretel growled
"Hey its not her fault" Hansel argued
"I know that Hansel, I-I just cant stand the fact that her own brother wants her dead. Its messing with her head and all of ours" She huffed
"I know but we cant do anything about it now can we?" He snapped taking a bit of his toast, she shrugged her shoulders and joined him at the table
"Hansel, did Neoma ever mention anything about that weird birthmark on her hip?" Gretel asked suddenly, he shook his head 'no'
"Why?" He asked suddenly
"Well, sometimes when we're in lakes or something it seems to...change colour"
"Your not being serious are you?" He said trying to stifle his laughter
"Witches, Wizards, Fairies and Trolls exist. A magical birthmark appears and you think nothing like that's possible?" She sneered shutting him up
"Sorry" He muttered
"Right anyway, maybe we should ask her about it"
"Why"
"Well-"
"Yeah, why?" There stood a angry looking Neoma, both Hansel and Gretel stood up quickly
"Nothing it-"
"Dont you guys trust me?"
"We do-"
"Even I don't know why it does that but st-"
"Would you stop cutting me off?!" Gretel yelled, Neoma sneered at her and slammed her hands down on the table
"If you want me to fuck off just say it Gretel, don't let me and my siblings hold you down" She snarled, Hansel didn't need to inturupt just yet
"I don't idiot! I was just wondering if you knew anything about it!" Gretel yelled, she stormed past her and back into her room slamming the door. Neoma sighed and rubbed her face.
"Great, now im getting paranoid. Im just gonna go apoligise" She muttered to herself, mostly. Hansel was still in shock from the mini argument to move. Neoma knocked the door and peeked in to see Gretel lying down with her face buried in the pillow her shoulders shaking, Neoma sat beside her and rubbed her back comfortingly
"Hey, hey, hey don't cry Gretel, It's my fault im being Paranoid" She whispered hugging her, Gretel hugged back
"No your right, I should've just asked you"
"Gretel listen, I should've let you talk before I came to conclusions ok? Im sorry hun really I didn't mean to hurt you" They stayed like that for a while before Ben ran in looking worried
"Ben what's wrong?" They both asked at the same time looking at him
"Hansel and Annie are missing"
