DI Kathy Coland yawned widely and survyed the busy cafe with half closed sleep crusted eyes. she weaved in and out of the other customers, taking great care not to spill a single drop of her double expresso. she found an empty table near the window and collapsed into the ugly metal chair. she gazed gloomily out of the window a the early morning traffic and et out a great sigh. She grabbed her laptop from her bag and re-read her assignment.
she was to infiltrate a small shop, a tailors, appropriately named Pins And Needles. several people had been seen entering, but hadn't been seen since
3 coffees and half an hour later, she was nearing HQ and saw her boss waiting for her with a thin folder. yay, no paper work today she thaught cheerfully. "hey Kathy, out your own world now, we got you an assignment." he said grumpily. he quickly briefed her and told her one thing several times: "you must not go into pins and needles alone, because-" "several people were seen entering but never leaving. i know, i know!" Kathy interupted. "yes, well last time i told you not to go alone, you did any way, and got shot!" Kathy winced and muttered "dont go there John. just dont go there."
