CHAPTER 2
"Um . . . Danny?" his voice is smooth and beautiful. The meaning of his words finally gets through.
Oh, shit. He knows Daniel. Oh, shit, he's not a mental bastard. Shit. Shit! SHIT!
I lean back against the door ready to bolt if needed to.
Daniel bangs open the kitchen door and stands right in front of the stranger, not even noticing me. "What?" he sounds pissed. Well, no duh he's pissed; "Shane" broke the door. The stranger nods towards me and I shrink further back against the door.
Daniel spins around and glares at me, "B-bee! What are you doing here? Never mind, go shift back to your normal form and get some new clothes. And then you can go clean up the ripped clothes I suspect are in the living room. This is my cousin and a new member of the pack. He's no threat. "
When a were-wolf turns sixteen she/he must leave his home, friends, and family too, join a pack. This guy looks eighteen. I wonder, what happened to his first pack?
I bow my head in defeat as well as respect. I turned and left the room walking down the hallway I hear the new guy's perfect voice, "Hey, I could be a threat!"His voice brought a picture of his face back to my mind. With black thick hair that fell to his shoulders that had a tousled look and a sort of shine to it. Blue eyes so pale and light that they looked like ice yet they were filled with warmth. Smooth skin and the perfect kissable lips- musical laughter flowed from the kitchen and danced around my ears cutting of my train of thought.
I climb the stairs and reach my room where I shift back to my normal form. I walk over to my dresser and pick out a pair of black skinny jeans and a lime green shirt with shelves that went to my elbows. I studied myself and then decided to put my hair in a high ponytail.
When my appearance was acceptable I opened my bedroom door and made my way down the staircase. I walked to the living room and all heads turned my way. All the boys were starring. Now, don't get me wrong, I love attention; I just don't know what they were all starring at.
Someone had already picked up at the ripped pieces of clothing. I looked a Jayden, smiled and mouthed thank you. She smiled back and winked. I looked at Shane and my smile grew to a grin. He was still staring at me with hard eyes. I had to bite my lip to fight off a laugh but I couldn't stop my shoulders from shaking a bit. Then I saw something else in his eyes. It was like a tiny gray fire making his eyes sparkle. I shook it off and went and sat by Jayden.
"Okay, now that everyone is here, let's get started." Daniel started. I noticed Jason sitting by Michael. Daniel then noticed that Jake was still asleep under the coffee table as a wolf and shouted, "Jake, WAKE UP"
The wolf woke with a start and stood up too fast. He ended up hitting his head on the coffee table. Jake yelped which made Caleb chuckle. I rolled my eyes. Jake crawled out from under the table and walked to the end of the couch where he sat down with a huff.
"Okay, guys and gals, I have some exciting news." Daniel began. I knew what was coming so when every-one sat up straighter I just leaned back. "We are going to have a new member, of our pack. He's my cousin, and his name is, Braydan." As if on cue, Braydan walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. I heard Jayden take a deep breath but my attention was completely focused on Braydan.
He was fit with broad shoulders and muscular arms. He had strong legs and a really cute butt. His face was as perfect as ever and those lips . . . he caught me staring. I blushed. Thank god when I blush it doesn't show too much, just a little on my cheeks.
