SKYLAR'S P.O.V
Why? Why do I always pick the bad guys? I apparently have bad taste in guys.
I drive down the road and pull into my one-and-only best friend Rebecca's driveway. I grab my phone and keys and walk up to the door. Before I get the opportunity to talk the door flies open revealing Rebecca's mum.
"Hi skylar,"she smiles,pulling me into a bear hug.
"Hi mrs.husch" I gasp from her grip around my body
"Did you hear why becca wasn't at school for the first day,hun?"she asks as I enter the house.
"Yeah she called me last night."I reply looking at the same pictures I see every time I'm here
"Well she is up in her room,tell her dinner will be ready in an hour,"she smiles
"Okay,thank you"I smile walking up the steps to Rebecca's room.
I knock on the door and hear Rebecca scramble in her room and mumble things."come in!"she yells
I walk in and she is putting on a shirt over her tank-top.
"Is liam here?"I ask letting out a slight chuckle
"Why would you think that?"she asks in a guilty tone
I walk over to the closet and swing the door open and there he stands,a shirtless liam with messed up hair,or as other people say,sex hair.
"Damn you Hudson,"she says crossing her arms.
"And you wonder why your mum hates him,"I snicker
"Your mum hates me?"Liam asks in a desperate tone
"No babe,"becca says
"She despises you,"I say
"What she said"Rebecca weakly smiles
"I'm gonna go now,I'll call you later"he says kissing Rebecca's nose I shout PDA and they scramble apart and with that Liam climbs out the window
She turns back to me and rolls her eyes
"What do you want?"she ask
"Why didn't you come to school today?"I ask
"I already told you,"she mumbles looking at her phone
"I don't think you didn't come to school today because you broke your thumb,what happened?"I ask
"I seem my dad last night when I was at Liam's house!"she sighs
It's been 4 1/2 months since Rebecca's dad died. She has been really bad,and when I say bad I mean it. She has done everything bad in every way,drugs,smoke,drink, and have sex. She use to not be like this at all. She would always get straight A's on her report card and now she doesn't show up at all.
"I'm confused,"I say shaking my head."you were high weren't you?"I ask
"High as the sky,"she smiles
"Was liam getting high?"I ask looking at her
She rolls her eyes and shakes her head,"no he was being a Debbie downer"she replies
"Or he was being responsible"I say
Sometimes she makes my blood boil.i sometimes just want to scream at her and smack her right across the face to make her mind right.
"Whatever,"she says rolling her eyes
"Your dad wouldn't approve of this," I say
"How would you know?"she asks
"Because Rebecca,your dad is the most responsible human being on this earth!"I yell
"How do you know?you barely know him"she yells
"Like you knew him too?"I yell
"You were never home! You were always with Liam or with other people! Your neighbors knew him better! That is pathetic!"I yell
She looks down and mumbles," Get out,"
"What was that?"I ask
"Get out."she repeats " Fine."I pick up my keys and slam the door closed behind me and drive home.
THE NEXT DAY !
I walk into the school and walk over to my locker.
"I'm sorry,"I hear
I turn around and Rebecca is standing there.
"For what?"I ask
"For making you leave yesterday. You were right,I should've been around more and he wouldn't want me like that."she replies
"It's okay,"I nod
She smiles and wraps her arm around mine. We walk to our first class and liam walks over.
"Hey,you two doing anything tonight?"Liam asks
We both shake our heads and liam smiles widely
"Great! Because I booked us 4 a double date tonight."Liam smiles
"Us 4?"I ask "Yeah.me,rebecca,you,and Harry"Liam replies
My heart fell to my feet. I'm going on a double date with Harry styles! After I just rejected him yesterday! This isn't going to end well
"He has a girlfriend,"I mumble
"No he doesn't,he dumped her yesterday"Liam says
"Oh..."I mumble
