But he caught me, my brother Damin. I looked up at him. He had a relieved expression. He pulled me back onto the stairs.
"What the hell!" He glared daggers at me. His face had changed fast.
"Thanks for catching me, I must have slipped." I fake a smile.
"Bullshit!" He yelled. He pulled me by the arm away from the stairs. He looked straight at me. "You need to stop this." He said, "This is not funny. I want my little sis back and I can't go to college and worry about my baby sis is going to hurt herself. Why worry? You are training to be a doctor so if my wound are life threatening you could fix me up like new. It would be an endless game of operation.
He pulled up my shirt to reveal my stomach. The bruises were revealed. He looked up at me.
" If this happens one more time I will get rid of that damn dog!" Piper knowing he was talking about her ran down stairs and fled the scene. I looked down.
"It wasn't her fault." The tears threatened to fall from my eyes. He sofened his glare knowing we were not talking about Piper anymore. I could literally feel the weight be lifted of my sholders.
"Yes it was. She started it and there was no other way out. You did the right thing." But what about what I said to her? As I walked in my twisted mind. Damin grabbed my bag and took me outside and we got in his car. It was awkward until he put on the radio and one of my favorite songs came on. I start to sing.

"when the days are cold
and the cards all fold
and the saints we see
are all made of gold

when your dreams
all fail and the ones
we hail are the worst
of all and the blood
runs stale

I wanna hide the truth
I wanna shelter you
but with the beast inside
there's nowhere we can
hide

no matter what we breed
we still are made of greed
this is my kingdom come
this is my kingdom come

when you feel my heat
look Into my eyes
it's where my demons hide
it's where my demons hide
don't get to close it's dark inside
it's where my demons hide

at the curtains call
it's the last of all
when the lights fade out
all the sinners crawl

so the dug your grave
in the masquerade
and it's calling out
at the mess you made

don't want to let you down
but I am hell bound
know this is all for you
don't want to hide the truth

no matter what we breed
we still are made of greed
this is my kingdom come
this is my kingdom come

when you feel my heat
look into my eyes
it's where my demons hide
it's where my demons hide
don't get to close it's dark inside
it's where my demons hide
it's where my demons hide

they say it's whats you make
I say it's up to faith
it's woven in my soul
I need to let you go

your eyes they shine so bright
I need to save that light
I can't escape this now
unless you show me how

when you feel my heat
look into my eyes
it's where my demons hide
it's where my demons hide
don't get to close it's dark inside
it's where my demons hide
it's where my demons hide"

"See, if you focus on your voice you could be something. You don't need to repay those you hurt. Try out for choir and be something the school can be proud of". I looked down so he couldn't see the blood rushing to my cheeks.
"I'm not that good" I said. We pulled up to the school and before I get out my brother pulled me into a embrace and said in my ear
"You matter." Then I quickly pull out of the heart wrenching hug. I opened the car door and bolted out. I made my way to the school. Time to put on my evil mask. I walk into the hall and immediately people got out of my way. I am actually short but you will never know because of my heals I where every morning. As I walk I give a evil glare to Everly who is the most popular girl in school but is scared shirtless of me but will never tell. Sometimes I am envious of her. She has all guys around her fingers and wears them like rings. Her perfect strawberry blond hair spirals down to her mid back that makes my sholder length brown hair look faded and dull. Her bright brown eyes make my black eyes look awful even though, my eyes are my proudest feature.
When the Bell rang to get to class I got everything I needed and walked to first hour. I had every thing ready. Paper, pencil, and a book. I had started to read but I headed some one slam their hand in my desk. I looked up and I saw Bev. She did not look very happy to see me.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" She demanded. The whole classroom was looking at us.
"Well, bitch I was trying to read but now since you interrupted me, I am forced to stare at you horrible eye makeup and your tacky hair extensions." The class was dead silent. Bev was still not done.
"Did you know that Carrol is in the fucking hospital because of you Bitch? You pushed her down the fucking steps and then laughed! You called her a fucking stupid whore and yet her family can't sue your as because she threw the first damn punch! Bitch you had that coming!"
I gave my well known smirk as she gave me that speech.
" I thought girls who did ballet were supposed to be graceful and not clumsy. That little elegant once-was fell like a old duck and she sounded like one to. So if you really want to help your friend I recremend that you give her vocal lessons and if that fails, give her a how to fly like a duck magazine so she can head south in the fucking winter."
I felt the hatred of every one in that room. Good.
