A few days later
The hunting patrol I had been on made its way back we camp. The drought had dried up almost the entire lake and there was almost no prey to be found. We caught a skinny thrush, not even enough to feed a single cat.
I ran over and placed the thrush in the fresh-kill pile. Not that there was any good fresh kill in there. "Firepaw!" I turned around to find my sister, Famepaw running towards me. "Firepaw, look!" She pointed her paw to the sky. Large grey clouds loomed there, promising rain.
A burst of thunder rang out, and it started to pour like there was no tomorrow. for days it rained and rained and rained. When it finally stopped the lake was full again, and life was back to normal. Sort of...
I decided to go for a walk to stretch my legs. Glistening raindrops fell off the leaves in the morning light. Birds were chirping, while mice were scuttling in the undergrowth. I loved living in the forest, no one could deny that.
As I approached a clearing I saw a small flickering flame. But how? didn't it jut rain for like five days? I walked up and stood in front of the flame.
Suddenly it burst and the whole clearing was ablaze. "HELP!" I shouted remembering the fire in the camp. As I panicked I realized I wasn't getting burnt. But... how? I just stood there trying to process the information.
Then I understood. I understood what Leopardstar meant. I just couldn't burn. Were there any other cats like me? What about Flamepaw? is she immune too? Or Firestar?

I have to get back to camp.
