the hotel

chapter one

I am laying here in my bathtub, hair pinned up and falling into a needed slumber

"Oh darling" I hear him shout
"Where are you o' precious one"
I sit up and realise he's drunk
"Roger I'm in the bath right now I shall be in in a moment, why are you in so late its 10 o'clock?" I call.
I am getting out of the water when the door bursts open, its Roger!
"ROGER" I shout "GET OUT, I'M NAKED!" "Don't make this any harder than it needs to be" he says as he grabs my arm. "Let me go" I plead "what did I just say to you" he says angrily whilst grabbing my waist. I am struggling to get away from his grasp. "Wait" he says "before I have my fun, what are they?" He asks pointing at my bruised body,it is hard to tell where he is pointing because there are so many of them. "They are what you have done to me!" I cry "every time I have refused to let you have your way with me you have hit me, and every time you do it hurts." He let's me go "I want to leave" I say walking out of the bathroom.

I have gotten dressed and packed my things, Roger has just walked in the room "I'm moving out, away from you." I say holding back tears "you can't leave me, your nothing without me!" he shouts "well being nothing is better than being with you!" I scream back at him slamming the door behind me. I don't know where to go so I just walk, it doesn't matter where to as long as I never see him again.

I have been walking for 30 or so minutes I am beginning to give up hope and go back to him.
I see bright lights glaring at me from across the street, I let my eyes focus on what they say: HOTEL CORTEZ, it says. I feel a sudden urge to walk in, as I finally give in to this strange urge I am greeted with a very modern design it looks very formal but welcoming at the same time, I'm also greeted by a a short woman standing behind the front desk. "Hi welcome to the Hotel Cortez, do you have any reservations?"
