Who's Bryan?

"Aliyah! Where's Aliyah?" I screamed as I ran into the emergency room hoping someone could tell me where she is and hoping that she's okay. "Bryan!" I turned around to see Aliyah's mom walking towards me. "Ms. Turman what happened to Aliyah?"

"Aliyah was found unconscious on the ground a few blocks away from Dorian's house."

"Do you know how she end up unconscious?" I asked her knowing she wouldn't know. "I don't, come, I'll show you where her room is." She said as we walked through the busy emergency room to the room Aliyah's in.

I walked into the room to see Aliyah laying on the hospital bed still unconscious and Dorian sitting on in a chair next to the bed with tears rolling down her cheeks. "How is she?"

"She's okay but they don't know how she end up unconscious or when she'll wake up....it's all my fault..." Dorian said as she started to cry again. "Dorian chill, it's not your fault, none of us seen this coming and there's nothing we can do about it but just stay strong and pray that she get up soon." I said as I patted her back.

"You're right, Aliyah is a strong girl so there's nothing to worry about!"

"Right!" I said to agree with her. But deep inside my heart, I was worried. Me and Aliyah been dating since our freshman year and knew each other since middle school. She was the first girl I actually loved and wanted to be with for eternity. We had a connection that was like no other and everyone noticed it. So yeah I am worried, worried as hell. But no one needs to know that, especially Dorian and Ms. Turnman.

Hours passed by and Aliyah was still unconscious, nurses walked in and out giving her the stuff she need and people we knew or Aliyah knew walking in asking what happened to her and if she's okay. Dorian fell asleep multiple times but I stayed awake even though my body was begging me to fall asleep.

Few more hours went by until, Aliyah eye lids started to twitch.

"Dorian wake up it's Aliyah she's waking up!!" I said as I shook her to help wake her up.

"Aliyah come on wake up!" Dorian shouted as she got up.

"Aliyah wake up, everyone is worried about you, especially me!"

Aliyah eyes open, her beautiful brown eyes looked around the room to see where she was. She was silent for a few seconds until she saw us. "Oh hello there." She said as she sat up on the bed.

I felt my heart stopped for a second, something wasn't right about Aliyah. The Aliyah I know would pounce on us like a cat and show us with kisses, not tell us hello as if she didn't know us unless...

"Aliyah are you alright?" Dorian asked as her voice started to shake. "Yes I am just a little weak but I'll be fine." Aliyah said as she smiled.

"Oh thank goodness, we was so worried! Especially Bryan?"

"Who's Bryan?" She asked confused.

My heart broke into a million pieces as I those words slipped out her mouth. This cannot be happening.

"Bryan, you know your boyfriend."

"I got a boyfriend? How do you know me?" She said as her eyes widened.

"Are y'all a friend of moms?" She asked waiting for us to answer.

"Aliyah do remember us? Or how you got here?"

Aliyah shook her head; "no I don't know who you all are or how I got here."

Tears rolled down my cheeks as she said that.

Aliyah lost her memories of us.
