Chapter Nine

Callie P.o.v.

I got out of the shower, wrapping the white towel around my warm body. Drying my blonde hair with another, smaller towel.

"Callie!" Harry's voice rang through the house getting my attention.

"What!?" I yelled getting my makeup bag out of the cabinet.

"How much water do I put in the pancake mix?"

"Read the directions!" I yelled.

"Oh." I laughed at his

Dumbfoundedness.

I put on my 'Covergirl' powder and a small strip of eyeliner across my top lid. Lastly mascara. I looked halfway presentable, my hair not yet done.

I put my damp hair in to a 'sock bun' and scan my closet for something to wear.

I finally found a pair of my favorite black skinny jeans and my blue sweat shirt with my last name, 'Groff' on the back. I place a pink headband in my hair and my black 'nerd' glasses and walk out the door.

"I made you breakfast." Harry said looking at the burnt pancakes on the plate in his hand.

"Thank you!" I said kissing him on the cheek.

I ate the pancakes with Darcy and Harry at the table.

"Shit!" I mumbled with food in my mouth. "I'm going to be late."

I quickly finished the food I my mouth and grabbed my bag and papers and keys.

"Thanks, babe! Love you!" I yelled slamming the door and quickly unlocked the car and climbed in.

When I finally got to work I was 30 minutes late. Fuck.

"Hey, where were you?" Simon my main boss asked.

"I was having breakfast with my kid." I said looking at my feet.

"Well, I hired a new kid and I need you to teach him how we run things here."

I look up to see this, 'kid'.

"Luke!?" I exclaim.
