Jessica
Jack is the man on the card. He doesn't come to everyone, just those he finds interesting. If you wish to find him, you need look no farther than a deck of cards, but there's no guarantee he'll talk to you. Jack is every Jack in the deck, but each one is different. Different personalities, different looks, different bodies, but it's still all the same Jack. It's just different parts of him. I've only met the others once before so I don't really know too much about them, just that whenever they meet, they fight for supremacy. It's actually kind of annoying.
My Jack is the Jack of Spades. Just so you know, he looks absolutely nothing like he does on the card. For one thing, he's hot, major league. And flirty as hell, I swear, he can't pass by a single girl without charming them. His skin is peachy and his body type karate. He's strong and you can see his muscles but they're not really defined, just a glint under the surface. His hair is a melted dark chocolate brown, short enough for sports but long enough to run your hands through. His eyes are a color so wonderful you can't really place it. His face is perfectly proportioned and his smile so perfect it blinds. No dimples but he could make it work.
He's fitter than a fiddle and a whopping 5'9, nearly two heads taller than me. He can play every sport but prefers to draw. To protect his oh so precious image though, he became captain of the soccer team. He likes to masquerade as a student and perform flawlessly to "motivate" the other students.
His favorite class in particular is history. He loves to laugh at the stupidity of others. Despite all that, Jack really is an awesome guy. He's funny, he's nice to everyone, he opens doors, helps struggling students in class, he makes everyone feel welcome and special, and to his love interest, my gods he gives her the world.
I'm not that interested, but she is my best friend.
"Not that interested huh?" He asked bumping my shoulder. "Then why does it say 'major league hot' and 'an awesome guy'?"
"Because you are." I shoved him back. "You know I don't like it when you read my stuff Jack." He smiled his annoying smile and draped his arm around Cindy.
I met Jack a year ago tomorrow. I was walking along the street to school when I saw a playing card in front of me. I picked it up and saw the Jack of Spades. I put it in my pocket because who wouldn't? and made plans to either shred it or make a story out of it. I was leaning more towards make it into to confetti but Jack had other ideas.
I was absolutely sure there was no one around me but somehow Jack was. He expected me to be surprised or shocked when he just appeared, but I didn't give him the satisfaction and just kept walking. That was a mistake on my part because after that, he wouldn't leave me alone. He brought me into his world of playing cards and I got caught up. Due to a misunderstanding, he became my card and the Games began.
I won of course, but not without the cost of dragging my best friend Cindy Warren into the whole Games mess. She was pretty freaked out at first but soon became one of my best supporters. And despite the dimension difference, the fact that he is completely unlike every other guy she ever dated, and the kind of big age gap, she managed to fall in love with Jack and he her.
I still think it's a little weird but who am I to judge? After all, I did briefly date the King of Hearts.
"Briefly?" He asked incredulously, "Jess, you did way more than simply date him."
"Get out of my head Jack, I'm writing!" I said swatting at the seal that bound us.
"Hey, its not my fault sunshine, you're the one who let me in in the first place. The only one who can send thoughts is you."
