I stared into his sparkling blue eyes and knew he was the one. There is only one problem. The eyes I just happen to be staring into belong to my best friend. Yes, you heard right. I, Kaylee Johnson, was in love with my best friend. The was only one question that kept crossing my mind. Did he feel the same?

"Kaylee, Are you alright?" asked a very confused Erik. He had slightly wavy hair, and eyes the color of the ocean. Erik look sexy without even trying. I wanted to run my fingers threw his smooth unkempt hair. I quickly jump out of my trance-like state.

"Yes, Why?"I blush.  Please tell me he didn't see me gawking at him like a lovesick teenager. Well I practicaly  was a lovesick teenager.

"You've been acting wierd lately. Are you sure you're alright?" Erik asked with a frown forming on his handsome face.

"I'm fine," I snapped. I saw a flicker of emotion from his face, but it quickly vanish."I'm sorry Rik," I tease Erik. When we were little, I couldn't pronuce the "E" in Erik. So I ended up  calling him Rik.

"Apologize accept, Kay Kay"

"You know I hate it, when you call me that!"

" I know," he smirk.

"How is everything with Nikki?" Erik's body stiffen beside me. I shouldn't have brought her up. Nikki is Erik's girlfriend. Last week, Erik caught Nikki with a guy in the boys' locker room. From what I heard. They've been fighting costantly.

"Kaylee," he whisper my name. " I d-don't want to talk about my Nikki with you.." I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I felt cold tears falling down my pale face. He's my best friend. Isn't he suppose to tell me everything? He never had a problem with me knowing about his relationships in the past.

"Kay Kay__." I never heard the rest of his sentence. I ran all the way home and crash on my king size bed. The tears flow more easily. Now that Erik wasn't here.  I could never be good enough for Erik. I mean look at me. Who would want? I could sum up the answer in two words. No One!
