I wake up to a light room, I thought that I was in heaven, but the pain was to real for that type of fantasy. It scorched through ny veins and led a path to my head it felt like the wiring of my brain had been taken out and then put back together; I was delirious.

I rested a hand to my forehead and grunted, "aah.." I whispered to myself, discovering the new  pain.

As I sat up, I saw that I was in a medical room and was clearly in a head brace. What is even happening?

I took the brace off and touched my feet to the cold floor in wonder, I saw that I was wearing a hospital gown, and I saw the blurry reflection of my chemically purple hair through the thin silver tray that sat beside the hospital bed.

As soon as I began to unhook myself from the equipment, a dark haired nurse appeared from the doorway. She gave me a Barbie doll smile as she wrote on the paper that was attached the the plastic clipboard.

"Hi Ms. Taylor! How are you feeling?"

I shrugged, as I stood stationary at the edge of the medical bed, "I guess?" I said, "what happened?" I asked her.

She laughed, as if it were obvious, "you...you um bumped into a handsome lookin' fella pretty hard and um, fractured your skull.." She gave a sad but happy expression, "but you should be all fine now, in fact if you'd like to leave-"

I then sigh, irritated, "wait...the bill-"

"It's already paid for." She told me.

I gazed at her in amazement, "okay, then...But by who?"

"He went by the name of Diego?"

It didn't ring a bell.
