Pastels

Chapter 2

   After coming home from Gameworks, I went straight to the nearest piece of furniture and laid face down, hugging a pillow. I'm so damn tired. Don and I were at Gameworks for five hours! We must have earned three thousand tickets each! Don bought a whole crapload of stuff, but I only bought a lava lamp with purple gel. Ha, just like Sally's hair. 

   As I was sitting down after eating a sandwich, my phone made a gunshot noise. That's the sound it makes when I get a text. I smiled when I saw who it was. It was Sally.

   Hey there :3 

   I quickly replied with Hello, Miss Purpley :)

  Haha my name's Sally c: But you can call me Miss I guess 

   No, I like Sally. It's like in The Nightmare Before Christmas

   My parents actually named me after her! I'm so happy because she's my favorite character ever!

   My favorite character of all time is probably Emily from Corpse Bride

   Yeah, I like her too! But who wouldn't? c:

   Oh you know, sucky people ;) So anyway, Don told me you come into the shop every day. I wonder why I've never seen you

   Well I used to have dark brown hair before I bleached and dyed it. That's probably the most dramatic change. I've actually seen you a few times, but you were playing with paper clips... xD

   Yeah I tend to do that a lot :) I make chains with them when there's nothing to do...

So what are you doing this summer?

   Oh you know, nothing much. I babysit to make money, and I spend it on plain clothes that I go totally DIY on c: I also do nail art

   Oh cool :) I like artsy stuff, too. I mostly just paint, though

   What kind of stuff do you like to paint?

   I like to paint up close things like the stem of a rose because it's got thorns, or maybe something like a leaf half orange and half green from changing color for the fall

   Wow, you seem to have a good artistic eye c: I like to draw scenery, usually something with trees. I still need to finish drawing a picture at the park

   There's a fucking park around here?!

   Uhh yeah, silly

Are you new here?

   NO. I've lived here all seventeen years of my life! I didn't know there was a park around here! My mind is blown

   You can come with tomorrow if you want c: We can draw together

   Sounds good :) I don't have work tomorrow because it's Saturday, so whatever time you want

   How about 4 am? c: 

   WHAT. Are you joking?...

   Nope :D I like to watch the sun rise. It starts at about 5:00

   Jeez girl, what time do you go to sleep?

   I don't. Sometimes I'll get like an hour or two, but I don't usually sleep. I have insomnia

   Oh, okay. I guess 4 could work :)

   Mkaay ;D So where do you live? I'll come by at 4-ish

   Okay c: I'm guessing you don't want me to knock?

   Actually, my parents left for Florida for the weekend. They won't be back until Tuesday, and my little sister is spending the week at her friend's house :)

   Haha, nice. I live with my 20 year old cousin. She's pretty cool c: I think you'd like her

   Does she have purple hair like you? ;) 

   No, her hair is a gradient of dark and light blues

   ...

   xD Haha! Yeah, we dye our hair crazy colors because life is too short to have boring hair!

   So you're saying that my light brown hair is boring? :(

   No! Your hair is cute! I love how it's all flippy and long and stuff cx

   Well I think I should get some sleep. It's almost 10

   Okay, sleepy head c: Don't let the spiders bite!

   UGH. I hate spiders! >.>

   Too bad >:D Deal with it, they're all fuzzly

   I set an alarm for 4 am, turned off my phone, and immediately fell asleep. Tomorrow will be a good day.
