(Helllo!!! I'm so excited for this book! The book starts from the absolute beginning! so it starts when they are in high school together. I hope you love the book as much I do!)

Keegan

"Keegan! C'mon man we are going to be late for school asshole. I can't get another tardy because of you." Kellan was yelling up to me from downstairs.

Kellan has been my best friend for 10 years. On my 6th birthday, I invited my whole second grade class to my house, but Kellan was the only person who showed up. I was really sad but my mom took us out to Chuck E. Cheese and we got so many tickets, my mom spent almost $300 on tokens. We ended up with 15,000 tickets. That was the best birthday of my life so far, and I've only ever had parties with Kellan now. We have been best friends forever, even though we are only 16.

When I was young, I was probably the ugliest kid you could ever see. The weirdest too. I mean, I even thought I was ugly and weird, and guys are always cocky and think the are attractive. Trust me, I'm a guy, I get it. But now I am apparently the craze for all the girls in the school. I get so many compliments, and girls ask for hugs all the time. They cry when I hug them, which is kinda weird, but it's nice that I am that attractive to them I guess.

"Dude! Seriously, I'm leaving!" Kellan yells up the stairs again.

"Shut the fuck up man! I'm coming." I yell back down, forgetting my mom still hasn't left for work.

"Keegan! Watch your mouth! I did not raise a sailor."

"Sorry mom! He is pissing me off! I will be down in a second." I said as I was making my way down the stairs. I took a little extra time to get ready this morning because it was the first day of my junior year in school, and I wanted to look decent because I know the fucking yearbook staff will be taking a million pictures today. I was wearing a blue button up to match my eyes, khakis and my nice brown oxfords.

All the girls that obsess over me are on the yearbook staff, so I'm basically being followed by my own personal paparazzi all day. It's nice in some ways, but it is also very distracting and very annoying after about 2 minutes.

"You look like a preppy douche bag." Kellan said as he laughed at me.

"Kellan! You too boy!" my mom shouted from the kitchen. She should've left for work by now but as usual she was running late. She always wanted to look good for the men she works with.

My parents got divorced when I was 3 and neither of us have seen my dad since. He had been cheating on my mom for five years before the divorce, so needless to say, I was basically an accident for him. He stayed with my mom, Kate Moss, for the money, you know the whole 'if you stay together for five years you get a lot of money when you get divorced'? Yeah, well he did that to my mom and he got his fair, and I mean fair, share of money, and no one we know has seen him since. Who would leave my mom, I will never know. She has been a model since she was 14 years old. She is 41 now, but she is very young looking for her age. My mom is beautiful and she still models, but has recently picked up acting.

"Sorry Ms. Moss. I didn't mean to say he looks like a total douche bag." He said as he started laughing again, making my mom come into the hallway where we were both standing.

"Oh you two boys are too much to handle sometimes, but I love you." she said as she pulled both of us into a hug and kissed our cheeks. My mom has been the best around, always caring for me and Kellan. "Oh and don't forget Keegan, you have football after school today and then you are meeting me for dinner at Mélisse. And seriously honey, don't forget this time. Please?"

"Mom, I promise I won't" I said as I leaned toward her and kissed her cheek really quick. Then Kellan and I ran out of the door and jumped into my car.
