The world was crumbling apart. It started when the human species were born. It wasn't aliens or something else like that in all the apocalypse books. No, it was us humans. It started when China launched a missile at New York. The start of World War III had begun. Thankfully the US made precautions and destroyed it before it hit New York, but it was still too close of a call. The world went several years after that without any war until the decided it was a good time to attack. They dropped several nukes on China's biggest cities; Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, and Hong Kong. That's when the countries started picking sides. Canada, Argentina, Australia, South Korea, Spain, The United Kingdom, Turkey, Germany, Poland, France, and several other countries sides with the US while Russia, North Korea, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Vietnam, and lots of other countries sides with China. The war started evenly until New York was finally hit with a Nuke. That was the US's breaking point. The country slowly fell apart. Overrun with China's soldiers and their major cities all gone they were dead. The remaining countries sided with the US saw no hope, making them call of their troop and that's when the US knew they had lost. And that's where I come in.
