Helena comes home with her baseball cap covering her head, her dad is in the living room when he hears the door open he gets up and comes up to her and sees her going upstairs slickly
"Helena Martha Grace Wayne, get your slick butt back down here."
"Oh so close." She turns around quickly and walks downstairs. "Hi daddy."
"Why do you have that hat on your head?" Bryce says walking to the kitchen
"Just representing our team the Giants woohoo!" Helena says sarcastically
"Helena, take the baseball cap off." Bruce says slyly
"Dad- seriously."
"I got a call from your math teacher saying you walked out of class and didn't come back, either your skipping or there's something wrong, so take the base ball cap off now."
"Fine." Helena takes the cap off and Bruce's eyes widened he stoops down to her level and puts his hand on her face.
"What happened!" Bruce says concerned
"Nothing, I ran into a pole coming home I'm fine."
"Is the pole a fist? Who did this to you?"
"Dad, I ran into a pole!" Helena says sternly
"Stop lying what happened?"
"It was just some boys at school, no big deal."
"No big deal, you have a busted lip too, did you get into a fight!"
"No, I told you it was boys at school, I'm fine!" Helena yelled, Helena lose a from Bruce's grip and runs upstairs. She slams the bathroom door and locks it. Bruce is just standing there shocked, he just walks away and sits back down.
Helena is locked I the bathroom and looks at her eye, it's all bloody and black. She stretches it out only making it hurt more.
"Ow." She says quietly, she looks at her long ponytail and grabs some scissors from the cabinet she cuts it one by one a tear for every time she heard the snip
She was different then
Maybe the boys won't pick on me. She thought but boy was she wrong, this never ending trauma was just the beginning.
