Annalisa's POV
I was tired, no that was the understatement of the year. I was exhausted, I had been driving for forty eight hours, never stopping unless it was for gas, or the girls needed to pee or eat.
We couldn't stop until I know we can hide and be safe. I came out of my thoughts when I heard two sleepy yawns, meaning the girls were awake.
"Good morning my babies," I had said once I knew for a fact they were awake. Then being the adorable twins they are, they sleepily mumbled, "Morning Mommy." Man, they are adorable.
Once they fully woke up, they had taken to annoying me, and complaining about being hungry, so I decided to stop and get down for food, just for an hour or so.
I went and unbuckled the girls, grabbed their bags, then their hands, and walked in. " Now, Miracle, Angel, behave, stay by mommy, and don't talk to strangers. "
You can say I was a tad bit overprotective, plus I have a good reason. Once we got in, a woman showed us to our table, and told us our server would be right with us.
Another woman walked up, she looked about my age, so maybe 20 or 21. She was thin, and wore Jean shorts, with a tank top, and had one of those holders waitresses use. She had long curly brown hair, and forest green eyes.
"Hi, aren't you some cute little things. I'm Megan, I'll be your waitress today. What can I get y'all to drink?" She was nice , but you never know. "Um, yes, I'll have a Dr.Pepper, and those two little munchkins can have apple juice, don't need them hyper for the trip, who know how long we're gonna be on the road." I rolled my eyes but smiled none the less at the girls pouty faces.
Megan left after telling us that she would be back soon. I pilled put two coloring books and a bag of colors for the girls to doodle on, then checked my phone.
He had called about fifty time, texted at least a hundred, all asking where we were. I sighed, he won't give up and let us be.
"Mommy, don't, it'll only make you sad," my blue eyed beauty said. I smiled, then Megan came back with our drinks, and at that time Angel decides to ask ,"Mommy can we sleep in a bed tonight?"
I sighed ,"We'll see how far we get today, we might not, you know that." They nodded, I suddenly felt soooooo bad, they don't deserve this, they should be sitting in a magnificent home, with a wonderful mom and dad, that don't argue, and the dad doesn't try to beat them every day.
Then Megan came out with ,"Well if you need a place to stay for a couple nights, I have plenty of room at my house."
