Maka p.o.v

We got out of the grocery store with 4 bags of groceries. I was carrying 2 and Soul carrying 2 also. Kid was complaining that if we all had to carry anything, it won't be symmetrical. He was even calling a stranger to help us with a bag for each person has a bag.

"I still can't believe that you actually touched the artifact when you're not suppose to," Soul said, annoyed with Kid that we have to take him home.

"You won't understand the beauty of symmetry," Kid said sadly. No one understood the 'beauty' of symmetry but him.

"Look, we're going to take you home AFTER we leave the food at home. Also we are going to organize them how ME and MAKA like. OKAY!!!" Soul yelled.

"Also no making the house symmetrical," I mumbled, not noticing that they could understand my mumbling.

"Please, it's the thing I could do for my life savers!" Kid pleaded

"NO!!! We don't want to rearrange our house... Again," me and Soul said in perfect unison.

Flashback...

"We are leaving you in charge of the house when we are gone. We trust you!" I yelled getting out the door. Me and Soul were going to our extra lessons since we were falling behind because Soul fell asleep in class.

"Don't worry! I'll do better than Black*Star!" Kid yelled when I closed the door.

5 hours later...

"KID!!! What did you do to our house!!!" Me and Soul yelled in unison.

"I made everything in your house perfectly symmetrical. Now you could live in peace now," Kid explained.

"Maaaakaaaaa..." I started to say.

"Uh oh... At least is not me," said Soul softly.

"CHOP!!!" I yelled, hitting Kid with the spine of my book.

"OOOWWW!!!You Maka Chopped me asymmetrical!!!" Kid yelled.

I pointed him to the door. It took 3 DAYS to get the house back to normal.

Flashback over...

"Okay, fine! I'll just sit on the couch, thinking how I could've helped you in a better house" Kid said all mad.

"Our house is perfectly fine without your help, okay," Soul said.

"Why? Because Maka lives there with you?" He smiled and moving his eye brow, teasingly to Soul.

Soul turns red, almost like his beautiful eyes. He stood quietly, thinking for a good comeback.

"Wait, what?" I said confusingly. Did Soul like me? Of course not, he wouldn't like me after all I did to him during those years we been together. Oh God that sounded that we were dating. But we are not, so we have to face the music that we are never going to be together.

"Oooohhhh, nothing," Kid replied, still looking at Soul. Soul is still red, I'm still wondering why.

"Let's just keep on walking to our house. It's just 2 blocks away," Soul suggests. His red face is fading away.

"Yeah, we are close, so we could take Kid faster home," I said.

Only me and Soul nodded at the idea of taking Kid faster to his mansion.

"What! You don't want me to be with you guys. Oh! Never mind, you just want to be alone eh Soul?" Kid said.

Kid first looked offended that we wanted to take him home faster. But then he was doing that face again at Soul. Soul got red again.

"D-do you want me to hurt you Kid! Because it sounds that you do!" Soul yelled.

What is his problem?

"Let's stop talking and more walking. We are so close," I suggested.

Soul calmed down and Kid shrugged. We finally made home.

Soul put the bags in the porch and grabbed the key from his pocket. He opened the door and made a movement with his hand to say 'you may walk in'. I blushed a little from his actions. He is such a gentleman, unlike Kid that literally put his pack of gum on the basket without noticing that I was struggling with it. But Soul saved the day again.

I walked in, then Kid, at last Soul. He got the bags he was holding and closed the door. I went to the kitchen and searched for Kids pack of gum. I realized that the gum was not in the bags that I was holding. It must be in the bags that Soul was carrying. I waited a few seconds for Soul to came with the bags. But he didn't. I walked out of the kitchen to see what's holding Soul. He was talking to Kid.

"What did I told you about you talking about Maka and I. It's never going to happen!" Soul said to Kid

"Ummmm, Soul?" I said.

They both turned to me, with a scared look.

"Y-yes Maka?" Soul asked. Red faced again.

"Could you bring the bags to the kitchen and unload the stuff?" I responded.

"Ummm, yeah," he said giving a stare to Kid. An even stare, to say 'do not touch anything' stare. Slowly I see Kid slowly poking a lamp. I giggled. Soul stared at him till we were in the kitchen.

He was busy unloading the bags while I put them where they belong.

"Maka, how much did you here if our conversation?" Soul asked.

"Only the part that you said it will never happen. Which is completely true since we don't have feelings for each other, right," I said.

It breaks my heart every time I say that we will never be a thing. I know it's true, but it hurts.

"Yeah, it will never happen. We are partners, it may ruin our friendship," he said. He kind of looked sad.

It hurts more when he says it.

"Why are you sad. We could talk about it if you want to," I said.

"No thanks I'm okay," he said.

"Okay, if you want to talk about something, just say it," I said

"Thanks, you are the best partner I have. I'm lucky to have you as a best friend," he said blushing.

I blushed while saying that. We looked at each other in the eyes. My emeralds into his rubies. Then we heard something in the living room. An animal?!?!

"I can't take it!!! I need to make this house symmetrical!!!" Yelled Kid.

Soul ran up to him and pushed him out of the house.

"I take him home Maka! You keep on putting the groceries in the fridge! I'll be back!" Soul yelled, closing the door.
