Chapter 2

Brooklyn's POV

-next morning-

I wake up to my annoying alarm clock. I groan and turn it off. I slowly get up from my bed and walk over to my bathroom. I brush my hair, teeth, and wash my face then walk to my closet. I put on my jeans and a black t-shirt with my black vans. I'm what you may call a 'tomboy'. I put my straight hair into a high ponytail then walk to the bathroom again. I put on eyeliner and mascara then exit the bathroom.

I walk down to the kitchen and I'm greeted by my wonderful mother. Not.

"Look who finally woke up" she says as she reads her newspaper. I just roll my eyes and grab a granola bar. I get my backpack then walk out the door with my penny board in hand. I put my board on the floor then push. While boarding, I put my headphones in and play my music.

After a few minutes, I arrive at the hell hole that is my school. I know what your thinking, I'm not bullied or anything like that but nobody talks to me or even looks at me. It's like I'm invisible. I walk in and go to my locker.

"Hey pretty lady" I hear someone say behind me in a western accent.

"Hey Ethan" I chuckle and turn around. He smiles at me then leans against the lockers.

"Did you hear about that new vine app?" He asks.

"Yea, I'm downloading it after school. It sounds cool" I shrug my shoulders.

"Okay so wanna hang at my house after school?"

"Sure, better than being at my house" I say. I close my locker then turn to him.

"Good. Well I gotta get to first period so I'll see you later" he says as he straightens himself up. I nod and he smiles at me. He walks away and I start to walk to my own first class.

It's finally the end of the first day of school. I have no idea how I'm going to survive this year. It was the same as every year, no one talks to me, I eat lunch alone, nobody notices me, the usual of being me.

I walk out the school and wait for Ethan so we can go home together. I wait five minutes and still no sign of Ethan. I pull out my phone and go to my messages.

B- where are you??

E- bus why?

B- never mind it doesn't matter

E- come on tell me

B- I was supposed to go to your house remember?

E- shit I'm sorry I forgot. Meet me at my house and I'll make it up to you with ice cream :)

B- depends what kind?

E- mint chocolate chip ;)

B- fine I'm on my way.

E- YAYYY

B- shut up you baby😂

I locked my phone and skate to Ethan's house.

I arrive and knock on the door.

"Well if it isn't miss Brooklyn Meyers" Ethan says as he opens the door. I laugh and walk in.

"Sup pretty boy" I say to him as I walk to the kitchen. I sit on a stool as I watch him go into his freezer. He pulls out a big tub of ice cream and I clap in excitement. He chuckles and grabs two spoons then places the tub in front of me.

"Dig in" he says as he hands me a spoon. Yes, I actually use utensils now not my hands. I grab the spoon and then stab the ice cream. I pull out my phone with my left hand while I eat with my right. I go to the App Store and download the 'vine' app.

"Did you download it yet?" I ask Ethan then put another spoonful in my mouth.

"Yea, actually me and Gray plan on starting an account and post our own videos. Imagine it," he pauses and looks up at the sky like in the movies when there's a flashback. "The Dolan twins" he gestures his hands in front of him. I giggle.

"Sounds cool" I say. He turns to me with a big smile like he just thought of something. I give him a questioning look.

"How about you be in our first video?" He asks excited. I shake my head 'no'.

"No I'm pretty sure the point of your account is for it to be all about 'the Dolan twins'. Not 'the Dolan twins and some random girl'. Plus Grayson wouldn't want me in it anyway." I shrug and eat another spoonful.

"Fine" he sighs because he knows I'm right.

"Cheer up, I'll help you with the first video." I smile. He smiles back and nods. He takes the tub away from me and I frown.

"You'll get it back when we're done with the video. Now let's go, Grays downstairs already thinking of ideas." He says as he puts the ice cream away. I sigh and follow him down the stairs. We walk in and Grayson looks over at us. He gives me a half smile and then looks away.

"Okay so Gray, Brook is going to help us with the video" Ethan explains to Grayson who nods in response. Ethan is the only person who calls me Brook. Not even my family have any nicknames for me. Grayson explains an idea to us and then we start to film.

We're done filming now and I can personally say, the video is funny as hell. They posted the video and it already has a few loops.

"Can I have my ice cream now?" I ask. Ethan chuckles and nods as he walks up the stairs. I follow and then enjoy my ice cream.

-2 weeks later-

It's been 2 weeks and the boys already have a couple hundred followers and a lot of videos. They got revined by this popular account on vine and they're account has been booming since. Girls keep commenting things like 'omfg you guys are so hot😍😩' 'future baes😏' 'one for you and one for your best friend' and typical girl stuff like that. There are some inappropriate ones too and I always laugh when I see them.

I am on my way to school right now. I arrive and then walk to my locker. I get my books then walk to first period. I noticed that Ethan and Grayson have been hanging with the 'popular kids' lately and have been kind of distant. I'm probably just being paranoid.

Right?
