Chapter 1

*one year later*

Sam is turning 17 today. Matt and I are still strong. We have had our ups and downs after Macy died. We actually went to therapy for a while. Jill moved in with her mom and Shawn moved in with us. All the other guys I haven't talked to. Cam leaves in our house too. Justin moved out a couple months after Macy died and Cam decided to move in with us.

Today my baby is turning 17. Sadly. We are having a get together at the house with his friends, Cam, Shawn, Matt and I. Jill and Justin are going to come over and hang out.

"Honey the cake guy is here" Matt yells from the front door

"Ok pay him please" I say

I set up the backyard. Cam is BBQing. Sam is out with some of his friends right now. Tomorrow Matt is taking him for his drivers license. Matt comes outside with the cake

"Ok put it in the fridge for now please" I say

Matt puts it in the fridge. Matt comes outside. We finish getting the backyard set up

"Hey we are back" I hear Sam say

"Happy Birthday" Matt says

Sam and his friends go and swim. Jill and Justin come over and go swimming. Matt and I grab a drink, Matt grabs some beer and I grab a water. We sit on the lawn chairs.

"So I don't know how you are going to take this and I should have probably waited till after Sam's birthday and I know I am almost 40 but it happened and please just listen" I say

"Tell me I am getting worried" Matt says

"I took a test yesterday while you and Sam were out and I am pregnant" I say to Matt

"Omg I am so excited" Matt says

"Me too" I say smiling

We hug and kiss.

"I am worried because I am so old that the baby is going to have problems" I say

"You are not old" Matt says

"Thanks Babe" I say smiling.

"So our 20th year anniversary is coming up and I was thinking Sam is in school. Shawn and Cam can watch him while you and I go to Hawaii" Matt says

"Omg yes" I say smiling

We kiss and he goes and talks with Shawn and Cam. I grab my water and go and stand with Matt, Shawn and Cam

"So can you guys please watch Sam for us" Matt says

"Of course bro" Shawn says

"Thank you" Matt says bro hugging them

"Ok everyone burgers are done. Let's eat" Cam says

We all grab food and sit on the lawn chairs around the fire pit in our backyard. We all talk and share stories about little Sam. We all finish eating.

"Ok it's time for cake" I say

Matt goes and gets the cake. We sing Happy Birthday and Sam blows out the candles. We eat cake and then we do presents. Matt and I get Sam a laptop. Everyone else leaves.

"Ok Sam hon Dad and I have one more present for you" I say

Matt leaves.  Sam and I go and stand outside. Matt pulls up in a car with s big bow.

"Omg thank you" Sam says hugging me

Matt parks the cars mad shuts off the engine. Sam goes and checks out the car. My baby is growing up so fast. Matt and Sam go for a drive. I go to the backyard and clean up. I finish cleaning and I sit on the couch. Sam and Matt come into the living room

"Thank you guys. I am going to study for my drivers test" Sam says

Sam goes upstairs. Matt sits on the couch with me

"My baby is growing up" I say faking crying

"Yea but we have this baby" Matt says putting his hand on my stomach

"Yea. We should tell Sam tomorrow after his drivers test" I say

"Yea" Matt says

"So next month is our anniversary. 20 years" I say

"20 years ago I married the love of my life. We met through a fake profile and we met and I knew I was going to marry you" Matt says

"Awe" I say smiling

We kiss. We pull apart and cuddle. Cam and Shawn come into the living room.

"We are going out for some beers wanna come" Cam asks

"No I am fine" I say

"Sure" Matt says

"Have fun. Love you all. Take a taxi" I say

They go and leave. I watch TV. Sam comes downstairs.

"Mom can you take me driving so I can practice" Sam asks

"For sure" I say

We get into Sam's new car. He drives and I sit in the passenger seat.

"I am just going sit here and read some stuff online. You drive and practice what you need to practice. Don't think you need to start conversation. I want you to focus on this" I say

"Ok" Sam says

He drives around and we go to an empty parking lot. Sam does some parking and stuff. We go home and Sam parks the car and shuts off the engine. We go inside and I sit on the couch with my laptop. I watch Netflix. Sam goes upstairs. I watch a couple episodes. I go upstairs and change into sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt. I go back downstairs and watch more Netflix. Matt, Cam and Shawn come into the house stumbling around and laughing.

"Ok let's get you guys to bed" I say laughing.

I put Matt on the couch. I grab Cam and Shawn. I put them in their bedrooms and I tuck them in and shut off their lights. I go to the couch and grab Matt. I help him up to our room. I put him in our bed and I go and shirt of the light and I lay in bed.

"I love you so much baby" Matt says slurring a little bit.

"Love you too. Go to bed honey" I say laughing

We cuddle and fall asleep.

*the next morning*

I wake up. I go downstairs. Sam is sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Morning" I say

"Morning, my test is in an hour" Sam say

"Dad is hungover so I will drive you" I say

I go into the kitchen and I make breakfast. Sam eats. I grab Cam and Shawn some water and Advil. I put it on their side tables. I grab Matt a water and Advil and I go into our room. I put it on his side table and I kiss his forehead. I go to the kitchen. I make a note for the boys

To Matt, Cam and Shawn:

Bacon, Pancakes and Sausages are in the oven. When you guys finish eating turn off the oven. I took Sam to do his drivers test. Love you all

I put the note on the island. Sam and I get into his car. We go to the drivers place. I go to the coffee shop across the street and I order a coffee and sit down.

"Omg you are Matt Espinosa's wife" Some girl says to me

"Yes I am" I say to her

"Where is Matt" she asks me

"At home sleeping" I say to her

"Can we take a picture" She asks

"Sure" I say

I stand up and we take a picture together. She leaves and I sit back down. I drink my coffee and scroll through twitter.
