Chapter 12

We sit and talk. Aaron and Matt play the game. A while later Matts mom, Matts Dad, Kristen, Dylan and Ryan come over. I move my legs and I go into the kitchen with Matts mom. I pour my self some wine in a glass and Matts mom pour herself some wine.

"I bought a couple bottles" Matts mom says

"Thank you" I say smiling

Then the doorbell rings and I answer it. It's the Pizza, I pay and I take it. I bring it all in the kitchen. I go upstairs and I go to the play room

"Girls dinner" I say smiling

"Mommy this is Hannah" Amy says

"Hi Hannah" I say

We go downstairs. I grab Amy and Hannah a slice and I put it on a plate for them and they sit at the table.

"Dinner" Matts mom yells.

The game stops and everyone comes into the kitchen. The guys grab their pizza and sit at the table. Us girls grab a slice and we sit at the island. Kristen pours herself some wine and the boys crack open a beer.

"So in toast to Matts birthday. Happy birthday" I say

We all raise our glasses and beers. Amy and Hannah finish and they get up

"Daddy can I have a sleepover" Hannah asks

"Sure but you have to ask Amy's mom and dad" Aaron says

Hannah turns and looks at me

"Can I please have a sleepover" Hannah says

"Sure" I say

They run upstairs.

"I have Hannah's clothes in my car from her moms house. I will grab some" Aaron says

He goes outside. We all finish eating and I finish my wine. I pour my self another glass. The guys go and play the video game again. Matts mom and Kristen go to the living room too. Aaron comes inside and comes to the kitchen.

"Here is a bag and her clothes, toothbrush and hairbrush is in there" Aaron says handing me a bag

"Thank you. I have a guest room. If you want to stay the night too. If you guys drink too much" I say

"Thanks" Aaron says

He goes into the living room. Kristen comes into the kitchen

"Hey we didn't get time to talk but where is all of your families. Wife, husband and kids" I ask her

"My husband and son is at the hotel. Dylan and Ryan's wife and kids are at the hotel too. Mom was worried to ask if they could come because we didn't want them to be intruding or anything" Kristen says

"Your family which makes them family. Invite them all over and the kids can all play together" I say

"Ok" Kristen says smiling

She pulls out her phone. I grab my glass and the wine bottle and I go into the living room. I sit beside Matt and I put the wine bottle on a table. Dylan and Ryan are playing right now

"Happy Birthday" I say smiling to him

"Thanks babe. One of the best birthdays ever" Matt says smiling

Kristen comes into the living room

"They aren't going to come because the kids are getting antsy and need sleep" Kristen says

"All good" I say

Everyone plays for a bit and then Matts families leave. Aaron and Matt still play video games. Hours later, I put Amy and Hannah to bed. I leave Amy's room and I go back downstairs. I grab another slice of pizza and I go into the living room and I sit beside Matt. I pour myself another glass of wine.
