Chapter 8 ~ "Luca, I..."

CHAPTER 8 ~ "LUCA, I..."

Chrip chrip chrip...
As the birds are singing happily in the sky, Liz slowly opened her eyes due to the bright sunshine shine over the window.
[Liz] Moring already...?
She put her hand on her forehead as she flashbacked the kiss scene with Elias yesterday. She lightly touch her lips, no sooner than had she touch her lips, she remembered about her first kiss - the kiss was stolen by Luca.
She moved her hands from her lips to her chest.
[Liz] Why is it so hurt...? Luca..... Am I.....
At that time, the door was knocked.
[Maid] Good morning, Miss Liz. Please get change quickly. His Highness and Sir Yukiya is waiting at the main hall.
[Liz] A-Alright! I-I'm coming!
She hurriedly got out of the bed and change into a pure white angelic princess style dress. Then she followed the maid to the main hall, where Elias and Yukiya were waiting for her.
[Liz] G-Good morning...
Liz timidly walked into the room as Elias was there.
[Yukiya] Morning...
[Elias] .....
[Liz] .....
Both Liz and Elias didn't look into each other's eyes, a completely silent went on between them.
[Yukiya] Elias? You look quieter than usual... Are you fighting with Liz?
[Elias] Wh-What? O-Of course not! We are fine, right Liz??
[Liz] Y-Yes! Haha-Hahaha..ha..
[Yukiya] ....
[Elias] Anyway..let's just start having breakfast.
[Liz] Y-Yeah..
And breakfast went on with silent and with an intense atmosphere.

After breakfast...
Yukiya was out for hunting so there was only Elias and Liz back in the castle. Elias suddenly called Liz to his room.
Didn't know what he want, but she still came to his room. She nervously opened the door.
[Liz] Excuse me...
The door opened with a loud creak sound. She peak in the room but she didn't see Elias anywhere.
[Liz] Elias?
She stepped into the room, but then the door was closed with a 'click' sound.
She turned back to see Elias was standing there.
[Liz] E-Elias!? What are you---
[Elias] I called you here so as to tell you something.
He walked behind Liz and put on her neck a beautiful diamond necklace. Then he hugged her from behind.
[Elias] Liz...I love you. Will you become my Queen?
[Liz] Eh..!
Liz's eyes grew wide before the sudden proposal, but then she moved Elias' arms wrapping her waist and moved away from him.
[Elias] Then I take it as a 'no'...?
[Liz] I'm sorry...but I.. I...
Liz looked at the floor as she adverted his gaze.
Elias looked straight into her eyes - beautiful but yet sad eyes. With his sense called 'men's sense', he could see that there was none of him in her heart but one person - Luca.
[Elias] So that's it...
Elias mumbled.
[Liz] Elias..?
Then he suddenly took Liz's arm and throw her onto the bed. He climbed onto her and pinned her hands down against the bed.
[Liz] E-Elias!! What are you doing!? Get off me!!!
She tried to struggle to find a way out but she couldn't.
[Elias] If I can't have you...then I'll make you mine!
He kissed her cheeks, her chin, and then her neck.
[Liz] Stop...
Tears started to well up her eyes. Her mind was going to get blank when an image of someone appeared in her thought.
[Liz] Luca... Luca!!
Crash!
The glasses of the window was shattered into pieces and standing there was...
[Elias] Y-You..!!
[Liz] ..! Luca!
Luca was standing on the window with his usual mature smile. Liz used the mess to escape from Elias and ran toward Luca.
[Liz] Luca!!!
She threw herself into Luca's arms and buried her face into his chest, sobbing. Luca returned her hug and whispered in her ear.
[Luca] Sorry for keep you waiting, Liz...
[Elias] Luca why the heck are you here!??
[Luca] I just came to take back my thing.
Then Luca wrapped one arm around Liz's waist and picked her up, put he over his shoulder and then jumped onto the window.
[Elias] Don't tell me you...!
Luca just smiled, a mischievous smile. Then he leaned his body outside the window and let both of them fall out of the tower.
[Liz] KYAAAAAA!!!
As they were about to crash the ground, Luca rolled and made a perfect landing.
[Luca] Phew made it~
[Liz] L-Luca!! Don't scare melike that!!
[Luca] Shh. Let's get out of here first.
Still carrying Liz on his shoulder, Luca ran away from the castle and escaped into the forest.
Had already run far away from the castle, he put Liz down onto the ground again.
[Liz] *huff huff* ...
[Luca] Haha! That was fun! Liz, were you havi---
As Luca turned around, he saw Liz was shaking and tears rolled down her red cheeks.
[Luca] W-What's wrong? Did I make you scared?
Didn't say anything, Liz just shook her head and held her wet face. Luca gave her a warm, gentle hug.
[Liz] Luca, I'm sorry... I'm really sorry..!
[Luca] Why do you have to sorry, idiot?
With a gentle smile, he wiped away her tears and lightly stroked her cheek. Then he noticed the diamond necklace.
[Luca] This is...?
[Liz] Ah..Elias gave it to me when he proposed...
[Luca] ......
He quickly took the diamond necklace out and threw it away.
[Liz] L-Luca?
[Luca] Liz, close your eyes.
[Liz] O-Okay...
Liz closed her eyes as he told. After a moment...
[Luca] There... Looks good on you.
Liz opened her eyes and saw that on her neck was a simple necklace with a red heart-shaped gemstone. It reflects beautifully under the sunlight.
[Liz] It's beautiful... Did you get it for me?
[Luca] After your slap I felt horrible and I thought that you were mad at me. So..I was missing a few days to finish it..
[Luca] Well..maybe it's not beautiful and expensive like that diamond necklace..
Luca shyly scratched his ignite cheek, looking embarassed.
Liz let out a chuckle and happily smiled.
[Liz] Thanks, Luca. It's really pretty...I love it.
As the word 'love' was coming out of her mouth, Liz's body suddenly shined with a pale pink light. Then her body started to fade away by time.
[Luca] Liz..you...!
[Liz] !!! N-No...it can't be..!! I..I... But I still haven't.... Luca..I..!!---
Luca locked her mouth with a quick peek on her top lip. He cupped her cheeks were wet of tears again and looked into her eyes.
[Luca] You don't need to say anything...
[Liz] B-But I...! Luca.....
[Luca] I will hear that..until we meet again...
[Luca] And for now.... Good bye, Liz..
Luca said goodbye to Liz the last time with the most gentle and loving smile he has, although he couldn't hold his tears any longer.
[Liz] Luca!!
Then Liz's completely faded away, the last pale pink light gave Luca the last message before faded away into the the sunlight.
"Until we meet again, Luca..."
