"What do you mean?" Her voice called to her brother, who was packing his clothes. He'd told her that he was moving out and going to his boyfriend's house. He had said that she needs to learn how to make her own connections to people and rely on more than just him. Wynter hadn't meant to make him feel like he had to take care of her. She told him that.

"No, Honey. I mean... You don't have any friends. You don't talk to anyone besides me. You can barely order pizza on your own. Doll, you need to learn how to do these things. You need to learn how to be your own person," Loki moved to stand in front of her, taking both her hands into his own.

"Oh," Her voice died in her throat as she looked up at her dear brother. She didn't know how to properly communicate with others. She always relied on Loki to talk to others. That, or she hid behind her sister or mothers. When it came to people, she just didn't understand. She couldn't get connections and feel the way others do.

"You will have a roommate, so you won't be completely alone," He nodded, smiling. The siblings sat down, and Wynter was told about the girl that would be living with her for their college career. The Grimm girl was currently trying to get her masters in computer animation and design.

After a while of talking, Loki decided to continue his packing and had Wynter go to bed. Laying down and letting her eyes fall shut, she thought about this new roommate. Wynter hoped that she would like her, and vise versa. Two more days until she would get here, and then they would meet. Two more days, Wynter would have with her brother here.

There was a grand room. Across the ceiling, white fairy lights were hung and created a nice warmth. The young girl was smiling up at the lights. Dressed in a nice, white dress with a blue sash near her chest, she spun danced around. The girl's bare feet made little pitter patter sounds against the floor as she moved, and around the young girl was music.

With a turn of her heel, she saw a figure in the doorway. That ceased her dancing quickly, and the music changed to an ominous melody that made her hair stand on end. It only lasted a moment before the figure stepped into the light. Their face still frightened her, but that was because there was just dark spots instead of actual features. Backing up, the girl's eyes widened.

Then she was embraced. It was tight, and there was a feeling a warmth from it. It was too warm. It began to scald her skin and hurt. With a gasp, she pulled away. The figure vanished, and the room was in flames. Trying to find her way out, she felt her air thin in abundance. Then the girl woke up.

--

Wynter sat on her bed, looking around in the dark. It didn't seem like there were enough words to ever completely describe the anxieties that came from that memory. From that glimpse into her past. Her mind was a wreck of fear and confusion, and yet, none of it was apparent on her face.  The dark haired girl didn't know how long she sat there until there was a buzz that created a jolt from her. It was a little speaker next to her. Through the wall that crosses her room and her brother's. Soon, Loki's voice came through, "Get your tutu on, dear. We're going out!"

She smiled and let out the softest of giggles. It meant they were going out today, and that they may be going to the dance studio. With an agreement through their communication system, she got up and got dressed. Her normal attire of jeans and a sweater fit nicely for going out. She still packed a tank top and leggings, and a few other things joined in just in case they needed them today. Like her phone, her wallet, and a small first aid kit since both she and Loki were pretty clumsy if they didn't have music to walk to.

Coming out of her room, she got to pull on her shoes and meet Loki in the living room before they were already heading out the door. Left. Straight. Right. She memorized her way out of the apartment building just for the days she had to go into school. That was only on test days, so she didn't have to worry about it too much.

Today would be a great day with Loki.
