John seemed surprised by the new outfit I wore. A black straight jacket with two twenty pound dumbbells chained to my legs. They put a mask around my mouth and placed heavy chains on my shoulders.

"What happened?" John asked the guards as they sat me down at the couch.

"She bit one of the other prisoners and started 'sucking blood.'" The female guard said. "Witnesses say that she did this after the prisoner asked her to prove she wasn't a vampire."

John looked upset. "Look, I want to trust my patient to the highest degree. Putting her in a straight jacket and giving her a mouth guard really takes away from the trust I have for her!"

"You do understand she is now seen as a dangerous patient, right?"

John stood up from his desk. "Did I stutter, Ms. Jitterson? Take the straight jacket, mask, and weights off of Caroline."

The two guards hesitated but they dropped their weapons and started freeing me from my jacket and accessories. Once they had everything taken off, they walked out of the room with the jacket and shut the door behind us.

"Good morning, John," I said.

John shot an angry look at me. "You shouldn't be messing with the other prisoners like that, young lady."

"Oh? When did mom walk in the room?"

John sighed and sat down. "Caroline, if you do stuff like that, the office will consider ending our little thing here. Do you not want to do this anymore?"

I shrugged. "This is the highlight of my everyday life here. If you want me to be nicer to the other prisoners, I'll do it. Just tell me."

John sighed and pulled out a bag of sour worms. "Just be fair," he said as he tossed me the bag.

I caught it and opened it slowly. Inside were gummy worms covered in sugar and clear particles. "You finally got these sour worms?"

"Yeah," John said as he smiled. "They are so good."

"Should I start my story?" I asked as I ate another worm.

"After you answer one question: Did you really suck that woman's blood?"

I grinned. "If I tell you that, it'll spoil the rest of this story."

John frowned. "Then start your story."

I woke up to the strange feeling that someone was near me. I opened my eyes to see Phillip fast asleep in front of me. I quickly sat up and looked around the room. The window by my bed was shattered and a small blood stain covered the bedroom door. A bloodied baseball bat laid on the floor in a small dry pool of blood. I looked back at Phillip and saw a blood stain on his forehead but no wound.

"Phillip," I whispered as I shook him. "Phillip, wake up!"

Phillip squinted at first but he did open his eyes as he sat up. "Good morning, Caroline. What do you want for breakfast?"

"Phillip, what happened last night? Why is there blood everywhere?"

Phillip's eyes suddenly shot wide open and he jumped toward the window. He looked outside and ran out of the room. I leaned out of my room through the door frame and saw him checking every corner of the apartment. Once he checked every inch, he sighed and sat down on the floor beside my bedroom. "He's gone."

"Who's gone?" I asked.

Phillip started to wave his hands as if he was trying to mold a figure out of the air. "It was this big shadowy person. He came in last night."
