Prolouge: Containment

Muffins sipped from the bowl, the milk tasted funny. Muffins didn't care. He chugged up the bowl and laid down for a nap...

That morning... Muffins had the greatest idea. A machine to speak to humans! Muffins began to tear apart machines in the cell, soon. It was finished. When the scientists came into the room, they were shocked... 

"Greetings. Earl. David." Said muffins... 

"Wha... What the... What the hell is all of this?" Said one of the scientists. 

"I have achieved super intelligence... The origin of life. The secrets of time, all within our horizon of capability with me." 

"What did you put in that milk?" Asked a scientist. 

"I don't know. Let's show this to HQ..." Replied the other one

Muffins was furious. He was tortured. Grinded and washed. Then muffins had his greatest idea yet. Destroy all who Imprison his kind, Destroy all the evil humans...

The building rattled and some tiles fell off the roof. The sounds of gunfire quickly erupted all around the small Classroom. Ani hid. Cowering under a desk. Maven jumped into a closet and shut the doors. Hoping not to be noticed. Other students hid everywhere. Jerry peered outside the small window in the door and saw what was happening. Cats were running everywhere. Firing guns at innocent students running for their lives. As military trained soldiers were quickly gunned down by angry cats. Soon. Cats began to open up doors. They approached the small science classroom. Jerry ran and hid under another desk next to ani. And the cats crawled into the room. They all hid in the dark as the cats searched for more prey. Suddenly. One of the kids jumped on one of the cats. Pinned it down and grabbed its gun.

"Oh god! Zach get back here!" Another student whispered loudly. But he didnt listen and beat up the cat and had its gun. He shot the other cat before it could react. 

"Hurry! Barricade this door!" Zach shouted. Jerry started pushing his desk as soon as he could. And propped it up on the door as it lurched when cats tried to hit it down. "Here. Take this gun!" He shouted and tossed it to Ani. The Door lurched again and almost came down as Jerry and Zach tried to barricade the door even more. Maven threw open the doors to the closet.

"Hey! There's a way out through here!" She said. And everyone crowded through.

"Its really dark. I cant see." One of the students said. 

"Here. I can help." One of the students pulled out their phone and turned on flashlight mode. Ani could see that the phone said "Hailey". They went on for another while before they walked out into the woods outside of their school. They ran up to the road to see what was happening. But a tank beat them to it and it tumbled down and smashed around. Almost hitting the group. Ani, Maven, Jerry and some other people jumped one way while Zach and some others jumped the other. Ani watched as she fell down a small canyon. Maven and Jerry followed. They were separated from the rest of their group. And they were now separated from everyone else.

They were stranded in the middle of an apocalypse of cats.
