Raven was walking home. She was passing houses and cars drove beside her. She looked at the cars. She sighed and let her mind wander. She wouldn't kill herself. But if a car was coming towards her,

She just won't move out of the way.

She walked with a smooth pace as she got Sebastian's text.

'Hey' It read.

She bit her lip and texted back 'Hi'

The bubbles with dots inside them showed up, telling her he was texting back.

'Soo you free to hang?' She received.

God. He seems so white girl when he texts, she thought.

She soon replied 'yep. Where?'

'I dunno. Park? My place?'

The conversation went on till they decided that they would meet at Ravens house.

As Raven returned home, she heard something. Knock, knock, knock. It sounded. It was Sebastian.

She set her stuff down on the table, then immediately you could hear yelling. Her parents. They always fought and fought. Non-stop.

She sighed then opened to door, giving a small smile to Sebastian.

"Hi." She said to him.

Seb smiled then waved, happily. "Hello." He said "May I come in?" He asked.

"Of course." She responded and opened the door. He walked in, looking around, then flinching once he heard the yelling. He looked back at her, his eyes filled with worry and pity.

Raven sighed and shook her head, closing the door shut but accidentally slamming it.

Her dad came storming downstairs. "You don't slam doors! How many times do I have to tell you, Raven?!" He yelled, as Seb backed away and Raven sighed, running her hand through her hair.

"Yeah, yeah. It won't happen again." She mumbled. Her dad slammed his hand against the wall, making a hole. But there were many holes and what seemed like bruises, in the wall. She knew her dad made them. She always thought he had anger issue problem. She tried to tell him once, but that resulted in more yelling.

As the arguing resumed upstairs, Seb looked at Raven.

"Sooo..." He said quietly.

Raven sighed yet again, "just ignore him. He doesn't have his shit together." She looked at him "So what do you wanna do?" She asked.

He shrugged. "Just I wanna get to know you." He said.

She nodded and thought. She looked at him once again. "Follow me." She said walking down the hall and opening the door. To a huge garden.

The garden had fragile, green/brown grass that was up to their knees, dead flowers that included roses, lilies, tulips, and many others she couldn't identify. The garden also included a tall, dying tree, which when she was younger she thought was an oak tree, but as it progressed in growing, she known it was a weeping willow.

The tree was her favorite thing about the garden. It always looked like it was crying. Dying, even. Like her most times.

Seb gawked at the garden. She didn't know if it was in amazement or repulse.

"Woah" Seb murmured.

Raven simply nodded. She walked towards the tree, having Sebastian immediately follow. She climbed up the tree, stopping on a high branch.

She sat, leaning against the trunk of the tree. Sebastian sat next to her. They started to talk, soon.

Raven got to know Sebastian, that he was a nerdy guy, and was kinda popular. But he was broken as well.

He had come from a broken home where his dad was an alcoholic.

Sebastian got to know more about Raven as well. He learnt her past, why her hair was they way it was, and more.

It was now five pm and Raven was leaning her head on Seb's shoulder. That's how good of friends they had become over the past couple hours. Raven was wondering and she shot up straight when Seb was done talking. She looked at him, excitement in her eyes.

"Let's run away." She said.
