GAIL VOICE

In the criminal justice system, Starbucks-based offenses are considered especially heinous.

In Seattle, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as The Starbucks Unit.

These are their stories.

(Dun dun sound plays. The light turns on the Starbucks setting. MADYSON is standing behind the counter, RACHEL, EMILY, and SAGE are walking into Starbucks.)

MADYSON

Hi, welcome to Starbucks.

SAGE

I need a grande pumpkin spice latte with soy milk and whipped cream.

MADYSON

Your total is five fifty, and that is the last of the pumpkin spice lattes. (SAGE hands money to MADYSON) Name?

SAGE

Sage.

(MADYSON writes it wrong and SAGE moves to the side. EMILY steps forward looking like she is about to order but than realizes what just happened).

RACHEL/EMILY

What?!

SAGE

(Snotty).

I ordered the last pumpkin spice latte of the season.

EMILY

How could you!???! You know that is my favorite drink.

RACHEL

(Under her breathe)

You don't even know, how much I would kill for one of those drinks.

SAGE

( Appearing to not of heard RACHEL).

Sometimes you have to learn when you messed with the wrong person. I have tried so hard to be there for you and you just treat me like shit!!

EMILY

You have got be kidding me!! I am, I mean WAS your friend.....

RACHEL

I really don't care about you're personal history. (Whinnying). I want that pumpkin spice latte!

EMILY/SAGE

Shut up! We are having a heart to heart!

MADYSON

(Annoyed).

(EMILY steps back to the front but is cut off by RACHEL).

RACHEL

Excuse you, I'm trying to order my...

EMILY

You're drink... (Laughs)

I think not, I was clearly ahead of you. I will take a tall salted caramel mocha frappuccino with soy...wait make that whole milk.....
