The kitchen knife in his left hand glints in the moon light. My heart pounds in my chest as he nears. Now do I see what and who he is. A murderer.

He is going to kill me, I think.

"Oh Sienna. You never learn. Haven't you figured that out already?" He says, playing with the blade with his fingers, as he nears me with slow quiet steps.

Then he advance towards me. My fingers feel along the wall for something I could use for a weapon. I yank on the floor board.

As he nears, I lunge at him, stabbing the rough board into his foot. He stabs blindly at me in the moonlight. The blade sending patterns of moonlight scattering of the walls.

I gasp as warm blood trickles down my arm. The blood pools at my feet, staining the floor a red coppery smell. I stumble into the kitchen, my arms outstretched into a silent plea. Just before my fingers can wrap around the cool metal of the butter knife, my mind tangles together. And I close my eyes before I black out into the void of the unknown.
