Dreaming

A story about a transgender boy and his struggle to get the people around him to accept him. Don't ask how I related a song with lyrics this strange to a subject like that, it just happened. XD

From beyond, you saw it all. Why did you go there?

Ever since I was young, I knew I was different. I knew what I am right now isn't who I'm supposed to be. I get so many excuses as to why it can't be true. They say things like "Oh, she reads a lot. She must be getting ideas from her books. It will go away soon."

She lost her mind. Someone kicked her into the back of the line.

The people who do know and accept me, the real me, even they can't protect me. I am pushed away, regarded as less than human. I am just like everyone else!

She lost her head when they called and said that they thought he was dead.

There are no phases when it comes to this. I didn't choose to pretend to be something I can't because I want to!

Dreaming of screaming! Someone kick me out of my mimd, I hate these thoughts I can't deny!

I want to say it to the world, "I am a man!" I want to scream it to a world that won't say "You are a woman, that's how you were born and that's how you will stay!" They say I'll die alone and go to dark places, they threaten me, and leave me.

One day, I will leave this place and all these people behind, but until then, I have to keep screaming in my head.
