A young man by the name of Pierce Williams was walking down the street, admiring the maple trees that had lined the sidewalk, each tree in its own planter, alined at an equal space. He put his hand up to his neck, adjusting his red scarf. There was a slight chill to the air, which he had felt due to the right side of his head, in which he had a fresh new side cut. Every morning he would take a walk, getting fresh air as well as people watching. He was an observer, and would pay attention to the littlest things. He ran his tongue over his snake bites, feeling the cool air hit his lips. There was a certain feeling he had, one that he couldn't explain, although at the moment he overlooked this. Once walking a fair distance down the street, he turned into a local cafe, one that he would often visit. Once adjusting his tan brown winter coat, he took out his wallet, getting out a few dollars. The ringing sound of the bells on the cafe's door had caught his attention, causing him to turn around, his eyes landing on someone very familiar.
"Oh my god... That's Canada?! But it can't be... Can it?" He whispered to himself. His heart beat faster as the young man walked closer. He was dressed in casual attire, wearing a red sweat jacket and pants. He walked up to Pierce, a curious yet shy expression on his face.
"Um... Excuse me, but do you know if they sell hot chocolate here?" His voice was soft and soothing as he spoke. His glasses were about as clean as a wine glass, the lights on the cafe ceiling reflecting off of them, almost adding a sort of sparkle to his violet eyes.
"Oh- yeah they sell amazing hot chocolate here." Pierce said with a friendly smile. He couldn't help but to feel a little star-struck, standing in front of an anime character, better yet, one he adored. No dream could compare to the real thing, and right now he really felt like he was dreaming.
"Thank you! Sorry if I'm bothering you... I'm sort of new in town, and I don't really know my way around.." He said, holding his hands in front of his chest.
"You're welcome. And no, you're not a bother at all. I love helping people, and I've lived here since I was small so I know this town like the back of my hand. My name is Pierce Williams. It's nice to meet you." He said, smiling warmly at the Canadian.
"My name is Matthew Williams, Mattie for short." He said walking a bit closer as the two got in line.
"Us Williams have to stick together I see." He chuckled slightly. "That's a nice name."
"Thanks. Um.. I like your hair! It's cool." Matthew stated, pointing at his side cut.
"It's pretty cool, right." Pierce said. The person in front of him had moved out of the way before he ordered two small hot chocolates. Pierce had paid the cashier before walking over to a table, Matthew following close behind. He sat down, Matthew sitting down in a chair across from him.
"You didn't have to do that." Matthew spoke, a slightly flustered sound in his voice.
"It's cool, I mean it would be sort of rude. Plus, my treat. A little welcoming gift." Pierce said, leaning back in his chair a bit.
"Thank you..." He said. Pierce nodded, noticing the smile he had on his face. Matthew's smile was warm and friendly, his attitude was something that Pierce had also adored. Matthew was now staring at the floor, which gave Pierce some time to observe the young man in front of him. Matthew was nineteen years of age, the same age as himself. It was nice to have someone of the same age to talk to. Though he couldn't help but wonder, why he was here, and what was going on that caused a fictional character to become real. His thoughts were interrupted by the waitress who had sat their drinks down.
"On a date, I see~ What a lovely couple you two would make!" She said, a huge smile on her face.
"E-Eh?!" Matthew stuttered.
"Chill, Rose. He's new in town and I'm spending time with him as a friendly gesture." Pierce said with a small laugh as he held his cup in front of him. Glancing over at Matthew, who was now blushing.
"Awe! I thought you had finally found someone." She said, making a pout face.
"Thanks for the drinks." Pierce said with a smile, waiting for her to walk away.
"No problem!~" She said, giving Pierce a small wink before walking away.
"W-Who is she?" Matthew stuttered, the blush on his face slowly fading.
"Rose. She's one of the waitresses here. I'm a usual, so we talk sometimes." He said, blowing away some of the steam before taking a sip of his hot chocolate.
"Ah I see..." Matthew said before blowing the steam away and taking a sip. After a few moments of silence, there was a loud bang followed by the sound of bells. Pierce and Matthew look over at the entrance of the cafe to see a very angry Prussian man.
"FRANCIS?!" He shouted, looking around the room. All eyes were on him, and Canada was surprised to find that Gilbert was in this town as well. Pierce's eyes widened as he stared at the Prussian who's eyes were locked on him.
"What's going on?!" He thought to himself.
"HEY YOU!" He said, walking towards the two.
"G-Gilbert? What are you doing here?" Canada stuttered, a surprised yet confused tone to his voice.
"That is what I would like to know! I was in the middle of an argument with Francis when all of then sudden, POOF! I ended up here! What a stupid and unawesome town." He said, slumping down in a chair. Pierce's mouth was now open, not believing what was currently happening. He shut his mouth, looking at the Prussian before him. So many thoughts were rushing through his head, and right now all he could think of was how were fictional characters entering this world.
"I um... I don't exactly know how I got here either..." Matthew said softly.
"Hey, who's this guy?" Gilbert said, looking over at Pierce.
"Pierce. Pierce Williams. I live in this town. And you are?" Pierce looked at the Prussian with a raised eyebrow, keeping calm.
"I AM THE AWESOME ONE! GILBERT BEILSCHMIDT!" He jumped up, raising a fist in the air. Pierce smirked, keeping his cool. Though inside his mind, he couldn't help but scream in excitement.
