When The Clock Strikes Midnight (Norminah)

Chapter 2

"Oh really?" Normani asks.

"Yes, really. Acually, I've been doing this for a while and I have never seen you before. Are you new in town?", Dinah asks.

"Yes, I am acually. I'm starting school on Monday at Orange County Highschool," Normani says.

"Oh, that's cool, I go there too," Dinah says," I can show you around on Monday if you want."

"Okay, yeah, that'll be nice, thanks." Normani says to Dinah, smiling.

"No problem, Mani," Dinah says, soon getting red with embraessment when she realizes what she just called the girl.

"Mani? I like it. Thanks for inventing a new nickname for me, DJ," Mani said, smirking at Dinah. Dinah smiled back, happy Normani and her are opening up to eachother.

"Well, I should get going now, bye Dinah," Normani said, waving and turning away slowley.

"Bye," Dinah said back, waving also. As Normani walked away, Dinah couldn't help but smile at her new friend. She too thought it was getting late, so she started heading home.
