Unexpected

Chapter 2

Elmo~~

About an hour into our movie marathon, Dani and Nicole decided that they were hungry and went downstairs to look through my fridge.

"Oh my gosh I'm so hungry!" Nicole whined as Dani rummaged through the fridge.

"Then get up and look for something to eat idiot." Dani muttered, grinning as she found the last cupcake I hid from them. Dang it.

"Give me the cupcake!" Nicole demands and tries to take it from Dani. "Never!" Dani replies. I swear they fight over the dumbest things. "I will lick you!" Dani threatens to Nicole. "I don't care." Nicole says. Next thing you know, a shriek is heard as Dani licks the side of Nicole's face. I giggle as I watch Nicole cringe and tries to rub the moist side of her face onto Dani's arm. I have the weirdest friends.

"Why don't you guys just share the cupcake?" I spoke up, making them stop and look up at me.

"As always, Elmo is the one to calm the waters." I smile when Dani says that, but she continues. "Too bad I'm not one to share my food." She says, shoving the whole cupcake into her mouth.

"Dani!! You're such a bitch!" Nicole screams when Dani shoves the cupcake into her mouth. Just as soon as she says that, my mom walks in. "What was that Nicole?" She asks. "Nothing Ms.Gonzalez." Nicole replies, smiling sheepishly while Dani laughs. My mom just rolls her eyes, knowing exactly what she just said. I'm pretty sure the whole neighborhood knows what she just said.

"Are you girls hungry? I can make my amazing caramel popcorn." She suggests, making Nicole perk up. "You know it Ms.G." Dani replies. My mom grins and shoos us out of the kitchen, assuring us that she will bring the food up to us when she was done. Yea, my mom is pretty awesome.

"Elmo, we so have to pick you out an outfit for tomorrow. You will look so hot by the time we're done with you." Dani declared once we reached my room. I groaned, opening my mouth to give an excuse as to why I'm not going to do this. Before I could say anything though, Nicole quickly pushed some fabric into my hands and shoved me inside the bathroom. Knowing that I was not going to win this, I grudgingly stripped and put on the outfit she gave me.

It was a half sleeve pleated lace dress that was actually really cute. But as I tugged on the dress, I realized it came up to mid-thigh which revealed my unshaven legs. And let me tell you, it was not a pretty sight.

"Come on out Ellie before I come in there and drag you out!" My friends called, and I sighed as I slipped on the wedges that came with the dress. Looking in the mirror, I realized that it didn't actually look that bad, minus the nightmare that were my legs. I kind of liked it.

"Wow, that looks really good on you!" Dani exclaimed as I walked out of the bathroom, a grin spreading across her lips. Nicole nodded in agreement, shoving her face full of chocolate caramel popcorn. I grinned and reached for some popcorn, only to be slapped away by Nicole's hand.

"I'm hungry, and you need to go try on the rest of the clothes." She explained through a mouthful of popcorn, pointing to the bed that was now covered with shopping bags.

I pout and go over to them. "Do I have to?" I ask. "Yes you do." Dani replies and picks out like 3 more outfits for me to try on. "Go try them on, and maybe you can get some popcorn... If we don't finish it all first." She says. Nicole laughs along with Dani, and I glare at them. I walk into the bathroom and put on the next outfit. This is going to be a long night.
