RED-1

Chapter 3

The mission

    After spending two weeks in my quarters it was nice to see the rest of the ship and not the same for walls and one ceiling.

"Captain on deck" Jackson yelled as we all stood at attention as the captain arrived to the briefing room.

"At ease, who you are seeing right now is Commander Thorne, the leader of the rebels and former terran leader." he said "Your mission is to bring him back, dead or alive and to eliminate any other rebel fighters .He was is currently on the planet on planet CX-007. We will be taking the ship to the planet and then you will land on the planet with a Scythe, from that point on you are on your own, any questions?"

"Yes sir, where was the last place that he was seen on the planet?" I asked.

"He was last seen in the capitol city of Midnight, any other questions?" said the captain.

"No sir." we all said  at the same time.

"You leave five hours after we get out of warp space, good luck" He said before he walked out of the room and the second he did I turned and said to my team.

"Jackson I need you to go and get the Scythe ready for take off, Nate and Isaac I need you two to go and move all of our armor to the Scythe, and I will move all of the weapons to it. Ready GO!" I yelled and we all took off in our different directions.

One week later.

"There is a rebel informant inside that building, we have to go to the main offices to fine her." said Isaac

"got it, lets go every one." I said as I stepped around  the corner Jackson yelled "LOOK OUT!!"

All of asuden there was a loud crack noise and saw a bright flash and stepped out of the way of the incoming sniper bullet.

"GET DOWN" I commanded my team and said "Nate based on thermal scans how many people in that building heard that?"

"The only one in there based on thermals,metal,and all of the other scans...."

"English please?" I said sarcastically

"The one person who shot at us" he replied

"Do not kill them, if Jackson couldn't see till the last second then they might be valuable" I ordered

"got it" they all replied.

"Ready......go." we all charged and were in a dead sprint once we got to the front door we still hadn't taken any more fire witch was odd.

"Breach and clear on my mark" I said "mark" we kicked down the door and cleared out the building to have no luck until the last door, witch I had to clear my self because we split up to have better chances of finding them. I thought in my head one...two...three...go.

    The second I opened the door I got the butt of a rifle to the side of my head and I quickly recovered from the blow by punching the attacker in the face disorienting them, and then jumping on top of them and head butting them, knocking them out cold, and just then realizing that the attacker was a girl, and not just any girl but a beautiful one besides the bruises and cuts from the fight with some what long golden hair and grayish blue eyes.

     By the time my team and I found each other, they saw that I found  the sniper and captured her, witch by this point was awake and trying to get free of my grasp and continued to until we got is our scythe and were in the air heading back to the ship after finding out that Thorne was killed in a airstrike on a rebel compound. But when I started to interrogate her we found out that her name was Alayna. She was pretty good considering that she almost escaped twice.

"Were are the other rebel hideouts?" the marine asked for the third time hoping to get a good answer this time but still got nothing, after he gave us the look to open the door and let him out, and as his back turned his back to her she jumped up out of the seat and snapped his neck taking his only knife and turned  and ran out the door. I immediately gave chase chasing her up and down the halls, until she turned around and tried to hit me in the ear, so that my ear would ring with out end keeping me from chasing her, only to hit my raised forearm, as she pulled out her knife she took a swing at me and the knife left a deep cut fro the top of my forehead across my eye and down to the jaw bone.

"Well, this got interesting." I said as a pulled out my kukri style knife, I did a round house kick to her gut and started to throw punches trying not to kill her, but to knock her out knowing if I killed her we would have lost a lot of information we never got out of her, but once she did a right jab I caught her fist mid flight and started to twist clock wise making her crumble to the ground, in pain only to have her find my left fist in her face.
