I smiled as I mouthed the song California gurls by Katy Perry and moved to the song but suddenly my right ear bud was ripped out of my ear and I looked at a rather pissed looking driver "sir, I've been tryingto get your attention for 5 minuets, we are at your destination" I looked out the window and saw Haruhi's apartment complex "thanks dude! here" I handed him some money then got out and grabbed my bags from the trunk, the driver drove off and I turned to the apartment complex. I walked up the stairs and knocked on the door "coming!" I heard Haruhi's voice say and the door opened and there stood Haruhi "Nao! your here" she said and I hugged her tightly "I've missed you" I said and let go of her "I've missed you too, wait, why is your hair so short?" she asked "I could ask you the same question" I said looking at her short brown hair, she smiled "come on in and I'll explain" I nodded and walked inside and set my bags down on the floor, we sat at the table "Hiro got gum in my hair so I cut it off" she said bluntly and my mouth fell "WHAT!? why that little brat!" I yelled "it's okay" Haruhi said smiling "the reason I have short hair is because they burnt it off" I said sadly looking at the ground, my hair used to fall down to my mid back but now it's at my neck, one side is shorter than the other "oh, I'm sorry" Haruhi said and I smiled "it's okay, um, I'm going to put my stuff away okay" I said getting up and walking to Haruhi's room. I walked in and saw two beds on each side of the room, one had blue covers and white pillows and side table and the other had purple covers, blue pillows, and a pink side table, I smiled at it and walked over to the bed and put all my clothes into the green and yellow dresser then put my jewelry and other things on top of it then walked to the bathroom to put my bathroom stuff in it "I'm done!" I yelled and walked into the bedroom to find Haruhi reading a school book on her bed "okay" she said not looking up, I smiled and walked to my dresser and pulled out a purple over sized shirt and pink satin shorts "I'm going to take a shower" I said walking to the bathroom. I locked the door and turned on the water to a little over warm then stripped off my clothes and got into the shower, I used my cupcake scented shampoo and conditioner and my vanilla scented body wash. I got out and dried myself off then changed into my other clothes "Haruhi I'm home!" I heard the voice of Ryouji, my uncle "hey dad, Nao is here!" Haruhi yelled from the bedroom "oh the little angel is here how nice" I heard him say and I giggled then walked out "so what's for dinner?" I asked Uncle, he smiled and grabbed me in a tight hug and twirled me around "oh your so cute!" he yelled "dad put her down before she passes out" Haruhi said walking into the kitchen, he set me down "oh Nao! your hair!" he yelled looking at it, I smiled "don't worry" he looked at me with a knowing look then turned to Haruhi "so what is for dinner Haruhi?" he asked "I was thinking of soba noodles and rice" she said grabbing out ingredients "may I help?" I asked helping her "well you already are" she said smiling.
After we finished eating we walked back to the bedroom, I sat on my bed "Nao! what happened to your leg?" Haruhi suddenly asked, I looked down at my leg to see a long scar, my eyes widened and I grabbed my blankets and covered it up "what do you mean?" I asked smiling nervously, she got up from her bed and walked over to me and yanked the blankets away "that" she said pointing to the scar "you should already know what happened" I said looking at it "they were still beating you?" she asked looking at me with sadness in her eyes, I tore my eyes away from the scar and looked at her brown orbs "yeah" I replied, an awkward silence filled the air and I finally broke it "I'm going to turn on some music, they have different music in the USA" I stood up and grabbed my MP3 player and plugged it into my stereo, I turned on the song Troublemaker by Olly Murs and sang to it "this is different" Haruhi said listening to the song, usually we listened to singers like 2NE1 or sometimes even Lady Gaga if we're in the mood, I showed her different songs like Pound the alarm by Nicki Minaj and Thrift shop by Macklemore. I looked at my clock and it said it was 10:21 "we should get to bed Haruhi" I said and she looked at my clock "yeah, luckily it's Sunday tomorrow" I nodded and climbed under my blankets "good night Haruhi" I said "good night Nao" she said and I smiled, but I barley had any sleep, not with nightmares about getting beaten by my parents
