REVENGE

Prologue

Green eyes watch in horror as an arrow pierces flesh. The sound of skin ripping is all that can be heard in that moment. A sweet metallic pungency emerges as red liquid oozes out of the ripped flesh. A scream breaks out next to a small body. The sweet metallic smell grows stronger. A carriage comes to an abrupt stop and a big body tumbles out of the door. The green eyes watch through the door opening as the man she has loved most in her short life loses the spark in their dark eyes. The sound of flesh and clothing being ripped is all the small ears can hear now. Tears leave green jewels as the realization hit. Delicate hands grab tiny shoulders and close the door of the carriage. A young woman with identical eyes full of tears hugs the small body close.

"Amelia, you need to run. Run as fast as you can and dont stop until your legs give out. Do you understand?" Green eyes fill with fear as they clash with the identical eyes. "Mother?" The young women lift the small body and place it on the carriage floor. She then reaches for a latch under the opposite seat and pulls. An opening to the ground below the carriage appears. The small body is pushed towards the opening. Small feet lands softly on the ground beneath the carriage. Then the small body turns around and watch through the opening as the young woman pushes a satchel towards the small hands. "Amelia, take this and survive. I love you." The opening of the carriage closes, and the small body hug the satchel close.

A terrifying scream reaches the little ears. A body tumbles out of the carriage. Little legs crouch down and look from underneath the carriage. The green eyes search for the body that just fell. Horror takes all the colour from a small fair skinned face. The eyes watch as the young woman lies on the dirt struggling to breathe while a big body is on top dragging a knife across the arms. Another scream reaches the small ears as the eyes watch the young women be tortured and cut up. Lifeless green eyes turn towards the young green eyes. The young body tumbles backwards as fear takes over completely. The body crawls back while watching the spark leave the identical eyes. The small body shivers as the thought of losing their parents so quickly hit. Tears flow down in streams from the green jewels.

The small body crawls out from under the carriage and darts into the dense clutter of trees. Little legs run forward deeper into the trees. Shouts from behind can be heard as the little body is being chased. The small feet crunch the leaves deeper into the soil as they destroy them. The sun starts to disappear. The green eyes search frantically for a hiding place as the light slowly disappears. The moon start to appear and light up the sky. The legs pick up speed as the shouts from behind becomes louder. A gasp leave small lips as the eyes see no more dirt. The body has no time to stop and falls of the edge. A scream fills the early night air as a small body tumbles down towards flowing water. The water envelopes the small body as the body sinks deeper. Desperate arms and legs flail with all their might to reach the top as the current pushes the body further down. The small body grows tired and stills. Green eyes watch as the light above grows smaller as the darkness completely devour the body.

The small body is dragged down the river and reaches a stop as it reaches the side of the riverbank. Water filled lungs empty themselves out as the body curls up for warmth. Green eyes squint at their surroundings, but exhaustion overtakes them, and they succumb to darkness.
