Chapter 3-Do I Have To Go?

School just dragged on I felt like the day would never end. I was so relieved when the bell rang signalling the end of last period. I literally sprung from my chair and ran to the car park. I put my key into the hole and began to drive as I drove past the school doors to the exit of the school car park. I see Aydria and Alleysha waving at me and I instantly remembered I was their ride home. I totally forgot. I quickly stop and let them in.

'Where the hell were you going without us?!' Aydria angrily screams down my ear, yeah, she was mad.

'I'm so sorry, I was just in a hurry and I need to speak to my parents because apparently I might have to go and have dinner at Damion Parks house and I don't-'

I was cut off by Aaliyah 'Wait, hold up, did you just say you might be having dinner at Damion Parks House? The Damion Parks, your kidding right?'

'I hope I'm kidding cuz there's no way I want to have dinner at the jerks house, so anyway can you guys get in the car so I can quickly drop you off at home so I can go and sort this issue out with my parents' I ask now getting a little impatient, they were just wasting my time.

They both jump in the car and this time it was Aydria that spoke 'I don't have any plans for tonight I was kinda hoping I could come by yours for a bit cause there'es something we need to discuss' The mood got serious in the car and I could tell that what she had to tell me wasn't going to be good.

'Well sure' I reply, 'I guess if I am going to Damion Parks house for dinner, which I'm hoping I don't have to, it would be nice to have company and even if I'm staying at home it would be nice.'

'Oh guys really, am I invisible now, were you actually thinking of forgetting about me? Am I not invited to the group meeting?' Aaliyah states and the anger in her voice is evident all though she tries to keep a cool front.

'Aaliyah calm down, of course you could come, I just thought you wouldn't be up for it, sorry.' I quickly reply before she goes into one her rage's that could most definitely make you deaf.

I start the engine and we're off. The rest of the car ride is in silence.

 When we get home and go into the family room and notice that my dad is dressed in a navy blue suit and my mother is dressed in a peach evening gown.

'Hey mum, you okay? Hope you don't mind but I brought Aydria and Aaliyah, we'll be up in my room, is that okay?' I knew she wouldn't object but the silence was killing me so i had to say something. if you hadn't already noticed i looooooooove to talk and I mean I loooooooooooooooove to talk.

'Sure honey, but can you guys be down for 5 to 6 becuse we're leaving at six and your friends can come if you want, just let them borrow some of your dresses we're going for a very formal dinner.' I can't belive my ears is my mum hinting that we're going on a formal dinner, where is this dinner? Please don't say Damion Parks House, please, please,please.

'Mum, where are we going to for dinner? I tried to sound cheerful but it came out as a high-pitched squeak.

 'Mr and Mrs Parks have invited us to have dinner with them, concerning affairs?

'Mum, do we (Pointing at Aydria & Aaliyah) have to go? I ask, hoping she gets the hint.

'Yes dear there's no two ways about it and  anyway they have a son called Damion who's your age, so you'll be able to get on with him,'  Yep I definately have to go but i've still got an hour and i still need to find out what Aydria needs to tell me.

But do i really have to go to Damion's house? At least there's one thing good about me, i get to go to the popular guys house.
