Georgia opened her eyes slowly as she woke up and realised she was in the middle of a forest. It was so dark that Georgia, a frail two years old little girl with long curly, but not frizzy dark brown hair and a pair of two, ridiculosly big, bright green eyes  couldn't see anything but dark trees. She stood up on her legs trying to understand where she was was and what was going on. the only thing she could see was a light at the end of a dirt street, so she decided to follow that path to reach that light at the end. Georga was confused: the only thing she could hear were whispers of different voices she didn't know, but she felt like the only way to stop all this whispering was following that path without looking back. suddenly, the little girl heard footsteps that weren't hers. she froze in terror for a second before starting to run as fast as she could. Her lungs were burning as the oxygen forcefully entered in her chest and she even thought she could have died of an heart attack. the light intensified as she was getting closer and closer to the end of the path.  the light was so intense, at a certain point, that she couldn't see anything and she lost conscousness while falling on the ground.

she woke up in the middle of a crowded street full of buisness men walking quickly down the road, men and women with children in their arms and young boys and girls that were chasing eachother. A boy of them approached her slowly:"hey, you need help?" said the boy with a strong british accent. Georgia really wanted to say "yes, i'm lost. please help" but she couldn't say a word. she just kept her eyes glued to the ground shaking nervously.

"Billy! what the heck do you think you're doing?" a girl yelled at the young boy who turned around looking very confused. "I thought she needed some help Emily! she looks lost." "of course she does! she's a new linker, you potato head! you must not touch a new linker before their link: it will only break the connection and she will slowly die:" Georgia was shocked about what the girl just said and she ran away before anybody could say anything else. She didn't have a clue about where to go, so she sat on the pavement and started crying. Suddenly she saw a weird line on the street: it was shiny purple and it was indicating a path.  Georgia, out of desperation, decided to follow whatever that thing was.

she ended  standing in front of a signboard where there was written "Logan place" which Georgia, of course, couldn't read; she was too young. then a second signboard followed the first:"the mews". she stood in front of that signboard until she heard some noises from not so far away from her.

"Fred,it's gonna be fine. now you go there, take a deep breath, and take your little child hoome."

"oh no no no no, that will be so awkward. why don't you go, joe?"

"I can't touch her before you. you know it"

"fuck. I'm not sure that I'll make a good impression."

"you'll be brilliant. now go out of this damn door I'll literally throw you there."

suddenly Georgia felt panic and searched for  a place to hide and she crouched behind a mailbox. she could see a man with a camera followed by another man who caught her attention. He had short, brown hair with two big dark eyes and a pair  of moustache surrounding his upper lip. he walked very shyly to the mailbox where she was hidden. he knelt in front of her and you could see a sparkle in his eyes, like he was looking at the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

"Hello" said the man and Georgia didn't know what to do. She wasn't safe to talk  to anybody after what happened with that boy. she was looking in his eyes worried. he smiled and said: "don't worry, you're safe here. Tell me, what's your name?"  "Georgia" said she, smiling a little bit. "i'm Freddie. Georgia, would you like to go inside? so we can know each other a little better." she nodded  and took his hand and both of them felt something strange, but really strong; it was something like if their heart suddenly started beating for the first time at the maximum speed.

well, that was weird.

Georgia heard in his mind, but the voice wasn't hers. it was Freddie's, who didn't seem to feel what Georgia felt. he looked at her, smiled and said:"Shall we go?" Georgia smiled too and answered:"yeah." then walked with Freddie into the gates of her new place to call home.
