Centuries ago, the Greek gods lived in harmony, far above the earth, in Mount Olympus, where they enjoyed the luxury of immortality. They shared their creations with one another, and laughed at the curiosity of their little pawns. There were two brothers who created beings out of clay. One brother, Prometheus, created the first humans, and placed them to roam about earth. As humans grew more advanced, they began to develop troubles. (That's from another story, and I won't go to deep into that.) He and his brother, Epimetheus, watched all of humanity cry out in suffering because their bodies were not fit for the cold, damp Earth.

Prometheus decided to put an end to this suffering by giving them warmth. He ascended Mount Olympus and stole the everlasting flame, brought it down to the Earth, and gave it as a gift to his creation. Twitching in his sleep, Zeus knew something was wrong. Living in a massive palace as King of the gods, everything had to be flawless, from his mattress of clouds to his delicate tapestries, depicting scenes of valor & dominance. He awoke with a sudden start, and the fury in his eyes puzzled the other Olympians. "Oh, what now?" grumbled Hera. Artemis and Apollo, twin gods, knew that if their father, King of the gods, was angry, the world should prepare for devastation.

"Who dares to steal my fire? The flame of Olympus?" Zeus vigorously hurled thunderbolts at the nearest pillars, which immediately reformed. Hermes, the god of messenger's stepped forward, and flew to Zeus, wings beating. He whispered in the god's ear, "I believe it was Prometheus sir. I saw him leaving your temple." Zeus swiftly replied, "Chain him, and inflict pain upon him for stealing the flame of the gods!"
