"Natsu...", a little voice whispered to Natsu. He tried opening his eyes but the only thing he saw was darkness. He realized this had to be a dream. Maybe a nightmare again, he had no idea why, but he got those a lot. Suddenly he saw a bright light. He squinted his eyes and when he opened them again he saw a young girl. Her hair was really long, it almost reached the ground, and her big green eyes looked kind. Natsu immediately felt like he could trust this girl. "Who are you?", Natsu asked.

"My name is Mavis, Mavis Vermillion. I am the founder of Fairy Tail.", the girl said. Fairy Tail... The name of the guild he was in. The same guild that belonged to the mark on his arm. "What does Fairy tail have to do with me? Why am I in that guild? Why do I carry its mark?", Natsu asked.

"You have many question now. I understand. And I will try to answer them all. You are a mage of fairy tail, you came here when you were a small kid. Raised by a dragon, but when the dragon left you, you passed by this guild while searching for him.", Mavis said.

"Igneel...", Natsu suddenly remembered a big red, friendly dragon. "Dad...". The dragon had indeed raised him like he was his own son. All those happy memories where suddenly replaced by the memory of that same dragon falling down from the sky. Killed by that one Big, black dragon that appeared in most of his nightmares. Tears dripped from his eyes without him wanting them to fall. But he couldn't stop them.

When he had wiped them away, the light was gone and the eternal darkness had returned. Suddenly he woke up and looked around. Looking at him in shock in the now almost familiar infirmary of that one guild were Happy and y/n. "Are you okay Natsu?", y/n asked. Natsu nodded "I just had a dream. Do you know a certain Mavis Vermillion or Igneel?"

y/n and Happy looked at each other and smiled "You're getting your memories back.", Happy said happily and 'hugged' Natsu while y/n explained "Igneel was your 'dad', he was a big red and friendly dragon that died in the battle of Tartarus when Acnologia was fighting with him. It's thanks to him that we're all alive right now. And Mavis is our first guild master, she might even been down in the guild. I'll go check.", y/n said and disappeared.

When she returned she wasn't alone. The girl that was in his dream was with her. But something seemed off. He could almost look through her "Are you... a ghost?", he asked the pale girl. She nodded and her kind eyes looked at him. "Did that dream help you recover some of your memories?", Mavis asked him.

"Yeah. I can remember Igneel now. How come you can make me remember these thing while other people can't.", Natsu wanted to know. Since he had lost his memories he didn't trust many people because he was scared they would use him. But this girl... She was different. He immediately felt like he could trust her, and he did.

"Because other people can't appear in your dreams. When I appear in your dreams I'm talking with your conciousness, not with you in person. And your conciousness does remember everything if you stimulate it. So I gave it a try and it seemed to work.", Mavis told him with a smile.

"Could you do that again?", Natsu wanted to know. If there might be a way to recover his memories, he wanted to try it for sure. He wanted to remember everything. The fun times he had spent at this guild, with his friends and with y/n. 'Cause even though he couldn't remember having a relation with her, he felt comforted with this girl and he maybe even felt love for her. He had heard her crying a lot over his loss of memories and he felt bad for making her cry. He made her sad and for some reason it made him angry. It made him feel useless. Was this what it was to love someone.

He also wanted to remember what excactly was his relation to Happy. He felt like they had been very close before he lost his memories but couldn't remember what excactly it was. Happy had told him he had hatched him with a girl named Lisanna. But he couldn't remember a Lisanna, nor could he remember that cats were born from eggs.

He needed to remember things, and quickly. He felt like how longer it would take to recover his memories, how harder it would be. And if it weren't the nightmares haunting him at night, there was this voice that told him things. It was a female voice. She told him that she was the cause of all this, that she was the one that pushed him off that staircase.

But he couldn't tell anyone. 'Cause she said that if he told anyone about what she had told him that she would hurt the ones close to him. And even though he wasn't really close to anyone at the moment he didn't wanted to risk losing anyone.
